CASSILL: Top 15 for RMM at ORP Indy

Landon Cassill had his sights set on delivering the first top-ten finish for Randy Moss Motorsports on Friday night at O'Reilly Raceway Park in Indianapolis. However, late in the 200-lap event the 19-year-old began to lose grip on his No. 81 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet and was relegated to a 14th place finish. With team owner Randy Moss reporting to NFL camp for the New England Patriots earlier in the week, the Randy Moss Motorsports team looked to make their leader proud in the short track event at ORP. Cassill did just that as he fought his way inside the top ten by the midway point of the race with his sights set on the front of the pack. However, the last set of tires put on the No. 81 GoDaddy.com Chevrolet didn't give the truck the same grip it had earlier in the race. "That was fun to watch tonight," stated team co-owner David Dollar. "Landon did a great job and the guys on this Randy Moss Motorsports team gave him a very good truck tonight. We just lost the handling a little there at the end with our tires and that was enough to push us back in the field a little. Landon and the team all deserved a better finish. Tonight kind of reminded me of the old days with watching our No. 46 truck move through the field and contend for wins - that is a good feeling." As a result of their 14th-place finish, Randy Moss Motorsports remains in the 17th spot in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner's points standings. Next up for Randy Moss Motorsports and their No. 81 Chevrolet is the Toyota Tundra Nashville 200 at the Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday August 9. Round 15 of the 2008 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season will be televised live on SPEED starting at 7 P.M. Eastern. The race will also be carried live on select affiliates of MRN Radio and on Sirius NASCAR Radio Channel 128.
