'Paint My Ride' Promotion Underway for LVMS
Get your creative juices flowing because Northern Tool + Equipment needs your help. NT+E is asking fans to design the paint scheme for its No. 99 Craftsman Truck Series Ford F-150 driven by Erik Darnell for the September 20th Qwik Liner Las Vegas 350 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This will be Northern Tool + Equipment's second year hosting the "Paint My Ride" promotion.
"We are excited to roll out our second annual 'Paint My Ride' promotion using the Qwik Liner Las Vegas 350 as the race to unveil the winning truck design. Last year's promotion was such a huge success with over 700 design entrants coming in," said Randy Rudolph, director of advertising and motorsports marketing for Northern Tool + Equipment.
Now through August 17, 2008, fans will get the chance to showcase their artistic skills by visiting Northern Tool + Equipment's website (www.NorthernTool.com) and downloading a template. Judging will be based on creativity, originality and artistic design. Entries will be reviewed by several chosen judges including Darnell. The fan with the winning paint scheme will see their design on the No. 99 truck when it takes to the track at Las Vegas.
The grand prize winner and a guest will be flown to the race, receive hotel accommodations for two nights, race tickets, pit and garage tour passes, a meet-and-great session with Darnell, a photo session with the No. 99 team and $250.00 in spending cash.
There is also a popular voting segment of the promotion in which contestants and the public can log on to NorthernTool.com and vote for their favorite paint schemes. The top-five winners will receive a $50 Northern Tool + Equipment gift card.
"Las Vegas certainly adds to the weekend festivities for the winner. We anticipate over a 1,000 entries on-line this year and can't wait to announce the winner the week of August 18th," added Rudolph.
