MURPHY: Returns to the No. 07 at ORP
TruckSeries.com Report Printer Version

  Discuss

Sean Murphy is racing full time in the ASA Late Model Series chasing the Challenge Division championship. He's won 4 races so far this season. He claimed his first victory of 2008 earlier this year in dominating fashion at O'Reilly Raceway Park. He won his 4th race of the season last weekend at Salem Speedway in Salem Indiana.

The win also marked Murphy's second victory of the O'Reilly Triple Crown, which pays a bonus of $100,000 to any driver who can win all 3 designated events. Murphy will turn from the focus of a championship to having a solid run in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. He finished 9th in his last short-track race with the series at Mansfield Motorsports Park.

"I'm really looking forward to this race," said Murphy. "We had a good showing at Mansfield and I think we can have another solid finish. It's also the hometown of our sponsor ASI LIMITED so we really want to show well for them."
