PETERS: Team Promoting Blood Cancer Awareness at Kentucky
TruckSeries.com Report Printer Version

  Discuss

Premier Racing will be putting its brand new #17 team on the track at the Built Ford Tough 225 at Kentucky Speedway on July 19th in an effort to raise awareness for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Premier Racing will display the LLS logo on its truck.

"We decided weeks ago that we would like to use our truck at Kentucky to help promote a worthy cause, and LLS is one that is helping to save lives everyday," commented Premier team owner Philip Hudgins. Hudgins went on to say, "Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children and young adults under the age of 20.  Being a father and grandparent, I could not think of a more worthwhile cause to support."

The team will be competing in its second race of the season and is very confident they can put on a good show for the fans.

Coming off a successful round of testing and extensive time in the wind tunnel, the team is poised to be competitive from the drop of the green flag on Saturday.

"I am really excited to be back in truck for the race at Kentucky and extremely proud to be associated with the folks at LLS. My job is to take this truck to the front and get them some camera time and valuable mentions, and that is what I intend to do," said driver Timothy Peters.

"LLS is thrilled that Premier Racing is helping raise awareness about blood cancer," said LLS Chief Marketing and Revenue Officer Nancy L. Klein. "Having the LLS logo displayed on their truck at a major NASCAR event will provide wonderful visibility for the organization and the importance of our mission to blood cancer patients and their families."
