● The former NCTS Lowe's Motor Speedway (LMS) winner will make his sixth Lowe's start this Friday night. In five previous starts Setzer has scored one win (2004), one top five and three top 10 finishes.

● His 2004 win is the last by a North Carolina native at LMS in all three NASCAR series. Dale Jarrett held the spot before Setzer by winning the Sprint Cup event in 1997.

● Setzer will pilot "Viper" this weekend at LMS in its first race start, but it has had numerous laps at various tests and hours in the wind tunnel before heading to the track this weekend. This is Setzer's second race in a row to bring a new race truck to the track.

● Despite a disappointing finish last month at Kansas Speedway Setzer still holds the fourth spot in the NCTS point standings.

Setzer the only North Carolina native NCTS Driver to win at Lowe's: "Everyone always wants to win at their home track. Lowe's has become the hub of NASCAR but many drivers are not from the area. It is hard to believe I am the only North Carolina native to have won at Lowe's. I think it all started several years ago when the face of NASCAR began to change in a new direction. You used to only see racers from North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Alabama and Tennessee because NASCAR was born a southern sport. But the corporate sponsors and bigger television packages has now grown this into a world-wide sport. It is harder to get into now, if you want to race, it's like trying to win the lottery. You have to be a good enough driver to catch the eye of an owner and most of the time have a money deal to even talk to an owner. Many owners have chosen to go outside of the traditional racer loop to find amazing talent and that is helping diversify our sport too. I think the growth of our sport is pretty impressive and something we should be proud to be associated with."
