Busch, Wauters Finish Third at Madison

Kyle Busch finished third in ASA Midwest Tour event at the Madison International Speedway Sunday May 4, 2008 in his No. 51 Toyota Late Model.   Busch's crew chief in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Richie Wauters was by his side as for the Echo Chain Saw 100 race that evening.

Busch had a full weekend after finishing second and third in the NASCAR Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series Friday and Saturday at the Richmond international Speedway.  Busch in his third start at MIS was on his game as he held off fellow ASA driver Mark Eswein on the final lap to post a third place finish

"That was great racing there with (Eswein), a lot of fun," said Busch, who started 14th. "Something that you can expect here in this series is good, clean, and hard racing, so that was cool. I almost didn't beat him to the line. I'm glad we did for third to get a podium finish," "We struggled here last year at this place, but luckily we found a little bit of something better here today, but it wasn't anywhere close to (Fredrickson).  I think the biggest thing about this tour is just that you've got guys that will race you clean, race you hard," Busch said

Busch is slated to compete in the ASAMT races July 20 at Iowa Speedway and Aug. 5 at Wisconsin International Raceway, and in the Wisconsin All-Star 100 Aug. 24 at The Milwaukee Mile.
