► The International MaxxForce Diesel team will utilize chassis CB-18 this
weekend at Atlanta. This is the same chassis that Gaughan drove to a 12th-place
finish two weeks ago at Auto Club Speedway in California. It is also one of two
trucks that the team tested at Atlanta Motor Speedway in January.
► Gaughan was one of five drivers to finish in the top 10 in both Atlanta Motor
Speedway Craftsman Truck Series races in 2007.
► In five truck series starts at Atlanta, Gaughan has completed 653 of 655
possible laps and has finished on the lead lap in all but one race.
► Gaughan will participate in the Speedway Children's Charities Inaugural Clay
Shoot at the Cherokee Rose Sporting Resort in Griffin, Ga., on Thursday, March
6.
Gaughan's Thoughts on Atlanta:
"I've always liked Atlanta, and the big tracks really fit my driving style. I'm
really looking forward to going to Atlanta after the last race at California.
We're taking the same truck - it finished 12th, which was OK - but we took it
back and made it better. Bryan Berry and the guys worked on it a little bit over
the past two weeks, which is welcome opportunity when you take a truck back from
the track without any damage."
"The tapered spacer that we're running at all of the tracks this year, we got to
test it a little at Atlanta in January. I'm not going to say I like it. I think
we have a nice advantage because we have Roush-Yates engines and they're making
powerful and consistent motors for our MaxxForce Diesel Ford F-150. This race at
Atlanta is going to be about getting the truck wide open as long as you can."
