WOOD: A Little Good Luck Couldn't Hurt at Atlanta

Jon Wood , driver of the Wood Brothers Racing #21 will be sporting The
Barnhill Group, Inc. colors this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway with
optimistic views that this is the weekend their luck is going to change. The
team spent the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series off -week focusing on details to
ensure an optimal performance in the American Commercial Lines 200 on Friday
night.
The team is bringing Ford F-150 no. 10 to the intermediate super fast speedway
in hopes that it will give them the same top results as it did in the test in
early February. They also chose to bring back this particular truck because of
its stellar handling in the 2007 Atlanta spring race.
Crew Chief John Monsam is pleased with the way this truck handled during the
NASCAR Pre Season Thunder Test in Atlanta. Monsam said, "We rolled T-10 off the
transporter and Jon ran eight straight laps full throttle, wide open." He also
comments on why this type of truck is needed for this particular race in
Atlanta. He states, "The race is at night which means the track will have a lot
of grip, if you have a good balance in the setup then you can take advantage of
running full throttle, if not and you have to lift; you'll get beat, no doubt."
The team feels that Jon has the experience and the confidence to get the job
done. Wood said, "We've got such a great group of guys this year that have
worked hard and feel that we tested here successfully. I'm confident that this
is the race that will turn our luck around and we'll finish up front."
Despite the adversities that came about in the first two races of the season.
They believe they've got a fresh outlook and look forward to a solid finish this
weekend.
