Tucker Georgia's Shane Sieg will pilot the no.07 SS-Green Light Racing Chevy for Friday night's American Commercial Lines 200 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Sieg lives just a short drive from the speedway and is looking forward to a hometown race. Although Sieg is a successful driver and still runs regularly on many of the short-tracks in the area, he's most excited about racing for the second time this year in the NASCAR Truck Series.

"I like racing just about anything, but nothing really beats racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway," expressed Sieg. "It's a fast track, but it's also my hometown. On top of that the truck series is some of the toughest but most fun competition in any racing."

Sieg is coming off a top five finish from last Sunday's 32nd Annual Rattler late model race at South Alabama Speedway. He knows a top five will be tough in the Truck Series with so many top competing teams, but still looks for a clean a solid finish. "I want to finish the race with a clean truck, but also want to show that I can run in the top half of the field," said Sieg. "Even though we're up against some very tough teams with deep pockets and lot's of resources I think we can still show well."

Sieg tested at Daytona and Atlanta with SS-Green Light Racing just weeks after SS Racing and Green Light Racing formed their new joint venture agreement. After Sieg's initial test he was signed to a 9-race deal for the 2008 season. Former truck series winner, Butch Miller will be at Atlanta helping to coach the young-up-and-coming talent. The 3-time ASA Champion (Miller) is a strategic part of the SS-Green Light Racing team as a driver's coach and crew chief support.
