What: Food Lion AutoFair is the nation's largest automotive extravaganza.
Attracting over 160,000 visitors, the four-day event includes a car show featuring various makes and models from more than 50 clubs; more than 10,000 vendor spaces that offer a plethora of automotive parts and memorabilia; and a collector car auction conducted by Tom Mack. A car corral, which completely circles the 1.5-mile superspeedway, features nearly 1,500 vehicles of all makes and models that are available for sale or trade.
For the first time, Food Lion AutoFair will include an Antique Automobile Club of America National Meet. More than 600 of the nation's most beautiful classic cars will be on display as part of this "show within a show" on Saturday, April 5. AACA National Meets attract the cream of the crop from
across the country, allowing the public rare access to many of the most magnificent automobiles ever built.
The 3M Car Care Garage will feature a Mean vs. Green theme with radical, high-horsepower machines shown alongside several environmentally friendly vehicles. The mean machines will be highlighted by six massive creations from the Blastolene Brothers, including a 1928 Studebaker President powered by an 1,800-horsepower tank engine. A display of historic drag racing vehicles is also planned.
When: April 3-6. Food Lion AutoFair runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.
Tickets: Tickets for the Food Lion AutoFair can only be purchased at the gate on event days. Adult tickets are $10 per day with children 12 and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult. Parking for the event is $5.
