Former Craftsman Truck Series Champion, Mike Bliss will pilot the #07 SS-Green Light Racing Chevy Silverado for the San Bernardino 200 race at California Speedway. Bliss has been brought aboard for a one-race deal with the newly formed joint-venture SS-Green Light Racing. The team had an open seat for the California event and sought after a veteran named driver. Bliss debuted in the truck series back in 1995 and has since accumulated 13 wins in the series including the 2002 Championship Title. Bliss has been a staple competitor in the Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series as well. He is racing
full time in 2008 driving the #22 Supercuts Dodge for Fitz Motorsports in the Nationwide Series.
"We are excited to have Mike Bliss drive our truck for this event," said Ken Smith, co-owner of the newly formed joint-venture SS-Green Light Racing. "Having a veteran driver such as Bliss provides an opportunity for us to showcase our #07 truck."
Co-owner Bobby Dotter agreed with the move. "Mike is a proven champion and respected person," said Dotter. "He will help us with the continued development of our teams as well as provide additional experience for the California race. We hope to have a great showing out west with both our #07 and #08 Trucks."
The San Bernardino 200 at California Speedway will be broadcast live Saturday February 23rd at 3:00pm EST. on FOX. Practice begins on Thursday afternoon with Qualifying on Friday at 4:40pm broadcast on SPEED.
