Team Principal Kevin Buckler on TRG's Debut at Daytona: "This is one of the most significant days in the history of TRG. For the past 15 years we've been building our brand. Making our first start for TRG Motorsports here at Daytona is a dream come true for myself and all of our partners. I'm very Andy Lally on Racing At Daytona: "This is going to be hands down one of the most exciting races that I will ever participate in - in my entire life. I've been looking forward to this moment all my life. I'm thrilled that we're down here with such a good truck and such a good group of guys, and are able to put our best foot forward out of the box in 2008 and try to make our run for the Rookie of the Year Championship." Andy Lally on Pre-Season Testing at Daytona: "The truck drove sort of as expected to tell you the truth. It's easy to drive around here when you're by yourself but it's a quest to drive around here when you're in a pack and try to keep this thing clean. I was unlucky to be around two wrecks, but very fortunate at the same time to get through both of them with some close calls. Guys were just racing hard in practice and running hard against each other. I got to see firsthand, just how and what I have to do on Friday night here. Hopefully I can learn a little from that and avoid the stuff that we're bound to see come Friday night." Andy Lally Adds LINE-X To His Sponsor Line-Up at Daytona: TRG Motorsports announced on February 6th that LINE-X Spray-On Bedliners would sponsor the No. 7 of Andy Lally at the 2.5-mile oval of Daytona International Speedway. "Coming to Daytona with a sponsor is a big deal for us," said Lally, who is happy to welcome LINE-X onboard. "It's a big deal for myself and a big deal for TRG Motorsports and this whole team. To have it be LINE-X is extra special here because it's a very well known truck product. It's a sponsor that has been with the series before and has a history. I'm really proud to represent them in 2008. Right now, it's only for Daytona, but I'm looking forward to carrying that relationship past this." Andy Lally and TRG Motorsports - No Strangers to Victory Lane at Daytona: The name Andy Lally may be new to NASCAR, but it's certainly not new to other forms of racing. Lally is an accomplished road racer with several accolades to his name. In fact, Lally has already seen Victory Lane at Daytona. Lally, who is a three-time Rolex Grand Am Champion, scored a win in the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona in 2001. Andy Lally Has Help from a Teammate at Daytona: It's a proven fact that drafting is crucial at Daytona, making it even more important to have a "dancing partner" or teammate since two or more trucks can post faster speeds when lined up nose-to-tail than a single truck can race alone. Lally will have a teammate on Friday night, following the recent announcement that TRG Motorsports has expanded to two full-time NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams in 2008. Lally will team up with veteran NASCAR racer and former Truck Series Champion Mike Bliss for the 100-lap shootout at Daytona.
proud to be associated with such an excellent group of people. We're looking forward to a really good race on Friday night."
Following Daytona, Bliss will hand the wheel over to Donny Lia who will finish out the year as the driver of the No. 71 TRG Motorsports Chevrolet.
