SPEEDtv.com's Tom Jensen sat down with 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Champion Ron Hornaday, Jr.  The veteran driver considers his chances of winning a record fourth truck serie Championship, teammate Jack Sprague and driving for Sprint Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick.

WHAT'S YOUR OUTLOOK COMING INTO DAYTONA THIS YEAR?  If you can get through Daytona and get out of here with a top 10 … we put ourselves in position to win this race last year and for the last five laps ran second and ended up finishing seventh. This race is one of them races where you've just got to come out of here with a good top five or top 10. I've always wanted to win here at Daytona. I don't care if it's on a bicycle or jogging. But I definitely want to win one of these races.

WHAT EFFECT WILL THE NEW ENGINE PACKAGE HAVE?  I don't think that's going to be an issue. The fuel cell deal is the biggest thing on these trucks. The aerodynamics underneath these trucks are making them real loose and they're real wicked down here. We're going to have to see. You can't run side by side like you used to right now. We'll work on it and see if we can get it stable.

IS THIS SERIES TOUGHER THAN IT'S EVER BEEN? Great teams and the drivers are really shining right now. I credit NASCAR for what they've done with this Truck Series, because it's so close, so competitive. When the green flag drops, anybody can win.

WHAT WILL IT BE LIKE HAVING JACK SPRAGUE AS A TEAMMATE AT KHI THIS YEAR?  It's just going to make Jack and I push each other that much harder. I'm leading him in the most wins right now, so if he goes out and wins, he's going to make me go out and try to win the next week. Jack and I have always worked well together. We've been running Chevrolets so long. Now, being on the same team, I'm looking forward to it.

LAST YEAR'S TITLE FIGHT WITH SKINNER - FUN OR STRESSFUL?  It wasn't tense until coming down to the last couple of races, when team members were saying stuff and stuff like that. I don't think it ever upset myself. As racers, that was probably the most fun I've had in racing in quite a while, until the last 20 laps (at Homestead), knowing Skinner had a problem and knowing I had to finish on the lead lap. And worrying about blowing a tire or something stupid happening.

WHAT WOULD A REPEAT TITLE MEAN?  It would mean everything. Just to do this thing - the first championship for Kevin and DeLana (Harvick, team owners) … to be their first repeat winner … Jack (Sprague) and I have three apiece right now. If I could get four, it would be exciting.

WHAT'S IT LIKE TO WORK FOR THE HARVICKS?  Pretty awesome. They're both racers themselves. They just want to race hard. … To see what they've done this whole time is pretty cool.
