Page views up 400 percent, ARCA Nation provides huge boost
The February 1st debut of the re-designed arcaracing.com website drew the second largest amount of traffic to arcaracing.com in the history of the site. The ten-year-old racing website, which serves as the official source for information regarding Flat Rock Speedway, Toledo Speedway, the ARCA Lincoln Welders Truck Series and the ARCA RE/MAX Series, also saw the largest non-race day audience in the ten-year history of the sanctioning body's site.
Internet traffic to the main website, arcaracing.com, saw a 29 percent increase to the average number of page visits in the last year, and page views on the February 1st launch date was 61 percent greater than the same day one year ago.
ARCA Nation, the social networking community which debuted as part of the arcaracing.com re-launch, drew more than three times the page views of arcaracing.com, and when added together, ARCA's web-based properties saw four times as many visitors as an average day would.
More than 250 people have signed on as ARCA Nation members. These new members uploaded thousands of photos and several videos in the first 24 hour period alone.
The re-designed arcaracing.com website includes enhanced multimedia elements, including live-to-web timing and scoring for all on-track sessions of the ARCA RE/MAX Series in 2008. This new feature will debut with a five-hour ARCA RE/MAX Series practice session at Daytona Int'l Speedway beginning at 12 noon Eastern on Thursday, February 7th, 2008.
