SNOWBALL DERBY: Truck Series Newcomer Justin Marks Enters Late Model Classic

Germain Racing driver Justin Marks headed south on Tuesday afternoon to compete in the prestigious and 40th Annual Snowball Derby, December 2, 2007, at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida.  Marks just completed driving a 4-race schedule for Germain Racing in 2007. He ended the season with an eighth place finish in the #03 Construct Corps Toyota Tundra, besting both of his Truck Series champion teammates.

"The Snowball Derby is going to be a big challenge. It's a very big race, I'm excited and I look forward to learning a lot. Some of the best racers show up for the Derby. I can't wait for the experience," said Marks, who will drive a #9 Chevy Monte Carlo Late Model under crew chief Robby Benton in Friday's Snowball Derby.

Marks, from Rocklin, Ca., began his racing career in the SCCA ranks. He moved up to stock cars through the ARCA RE/MAX Series and is anxious to contend for Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2008, driving for Germain Racing.

"Construct Corps and crocs will be on board with me for 2008. I'm very excited about the season. Homestead was a great way to cap off last year and we hope to carry some of that with us when we get to Daytona in February," said Marks.
