ROOKIE POST RACE NOTES: EasyCare 200 at Atlanta

· Joey Clanton finished 6th and took Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors for the fifth time this season.

CLANTON: "It is good run here this good in front of our hometown. We were bottoming out in qualifying. It looked kind of ugly and it felt kind of ugly, but we got a bad start right there. Our guys hung with it. They made the right changes, the right calls during the race and set up our track position. I could get two or three guys every restart. They just kept the momentum going. I really stayed after it, we made the right calls. We saved the two tires for the end. It worked."

WILLIE ALLEN, No. 13 PORK/THORSPORT RACING CHEVROLET: "It was a long, hard battle. We just never did get the truck right all day. We qualified pretty good. It was a little tight, and tightened it up and drove pretty good. We got the lucky dog once and we lined up so late. So when we were taking the green we were still way back in the field. We closed the gap some. But the National Pork Board Silverado was just pretty much loose all day. We'll just see what we can figure out for Texas."

TIM SAUTER, No. 07 LESTER BUILDINGS CHEVROLET: "We missed on something. It was terrible. We did all we could do just to not wreck and finish. I guess that's a good day today. We'll just build on it for Texas next week. Hopefully, we're going to take that same truck, so we got to figure something out."

Where the Raybestos Rookies finished at Atlanta Motor Speedway:
Clanton 6th
Allen 20th
Sauter 21st
White 31st
