WILLIE ALLEN IN THE No. 13 THORSPORT RACING/PORK/NASHVILLE MUSIC CITY CHEVROLET WAS THE RAYBESTOS ROOKIE OF THE RACE.  Notes: Allen finished 14th and took Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors for the fourth time this season and for the second consecutive race.

ALLEN:  WHAT HAPPENED AT THE END OF THE RACE?  "I don't know exactly what happened.  I know that my teammate and somebody got into it.  I'm not sure what happened.  Man, I thought we had a top-10 for sure.  We were a 32nd-place truck at the start of the race and the crew kept adjusting on it and got it a ton better.  It was a night and day difference.  We actually had something to compete with there at the end.  That's very disappointed to get trapped up there at the top.  But I've got to thank the guys at Chevy.  We had a good Silverado today and hopefully we gained some more Raybestos Rookie points."  WERE YOU CLOSE TO THE TIM SAUTER ACCIDENT?  "We were ahead of Tim Sauter when that happened.  I saw them wrecking in the rear view mirror.  I think the 6 and the 07 got into it."  YOU WENT HIGH TO MISS THE LAST WRECK OFF TURN 4?  "The 88 was down on the bottom and I was going high and then he spun around and everyone came up in front of me and I got trapped.  I wasn't even in it.  I did that [points to damage on the front of his truck] because I put in back in second to try to bust up through there because I knew we had to get to the start finish line."  HOW MUCH DO YOU HAVE?  "I'd say a ton.  We didn't have any until the last lap but we have quite a bit now."  DO YOU PLAN TO RUN THIS TRUCK ANYWHERE ELSE THIS SEASON?  "I was hoping to run it at Phoenix but it's not looking good right now ."  YOU MADE THE TRUCK BETTER DURING THE RACE TODAY.  "We made this truck a lot better.  We had a solid top-10 right there at the end and just got misfortune there, got caught up in that deal.  We'll get ready to go to Atlanta."

JOEY CLANTON, No. 09 ZAXBY'S FORD:  WHAT DID YOU SEE?  "Nothing, nothing at all.  By the time we were in it, the crew chief was hollering 'Back out, back out.'  I don't know if somebody was behind me pushing me but it was sideways and into the 07."  YOU GOT YOUR LAP BACK BUT IT DIDN'T WORK OUT.  "No, it didn't.  Maybe we can salvage something out of this, maybe get a lap, just get out there and run one lap.  I hate it for Zaxby's and Ford.  This thing was good."

TIM SAUTER, No. 07 LESTER BUILDINGS CHEVROLET:  "I'm fine.  I just hate it for Lester Buildings and Greenlight Racing and all my guys.  They work really hard.  We don't really have the biggest budget and we're doing our best and we were looking for a top-10 here today.  There ain't no giving and taking, I guess, and I guess from now on I'm going to get them before they get me. I think Todd Bodine is an idiot.  I think he caused a lot of that.  I think he got into Kvapil and Kvapil got into me and I mean nobody lifted.  And then the yellow flags are so inconsistent that nobody lets off.  I got hit about eight times by eight different trucks and it's not necessary.  Frankly, it's crazy and I'm just sorry for Lester Buildings and my guys: Gene Christensen and Bobby Dotter."  YOU RAN WELL ALL DAY.  WAS THIS YOUR BEST RUN OF THE SEASON?  "Well, we've had better runs than that.  We just were in position all day long and we were showing it.  From the outside that's what it looked like and it was a great run.  We were just trying to hang on.  We were battling some brake issues and stuff like that.  We were just hanging in there the best we could do."  WAS THERE ALL TAKING AND NO GIVING IN THE RACE TODAY?  "You know, different guys will give and different guys just take.  And I know who they are but when you get in that situation you're a sitting duck.  There's not much you can do."
