| TEAM NEWS: GunBroker.com to Sponsor No. 7 Dodge for the Remainder of 2007
10-19-2007 | TruckSeries.com Report
Officials from Pennington Motorsports announced Friday morning that GunBroker.com will sponsor the No. 7 team for the remainder of the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season. The announcement comes on the heels of a one-race sponsorship deal at Talladega Superspeedway two weeks ago. GunBroker.com is the world's largest online auction of firearms and accessories. Founded in 1999, GunBroker.com promotes responsible gun ownership. Third-party sellers list items on the site, and every buyer or seller must be legally allowed to own firearms. Ownership policies and regulations are followed using licensed firearms dealers as transfer agents. The site is an informative, detailed, secure and safe way to buy and sell firearms and hunting and shooting accessories. GunBroker.com is similar in operation to the well-known auction site, eBay, although not affiliated in any way. "This is a huge boost for our race team," said Jason White, driver of the No. 7 GunBroker.com Dodge Ram. "We were taking our time at Talladega. We had a great truck, we were just swept into an accident not of our making. Now, we are thrilled that our relationship is going to continue with such a great organization such as GunBroker.com. We're looking forward to Saturday's race at Martinsville Speedway in addition to the remainder of the season." White marches into Martinsville looking to better his career best finish set nearly six years ago at the legendary short track. "I'm a huge fan of Martinsville Speedway. I've run extremely well in the past and there's no doubt in my mind with the chemistry that Pennington Motorsports now has, we'll be a factor in Saturday's race." Hooter's Energy Drink, the team's primary sponsor for 19 events this season will take the position as associate sponsor for the remaining five events of year. Heading into Martinsville, White has 27 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) starts to his resume with a career best finish of 13th at Martinsville Speedway in 2001.
