No. 51 Chevrolet to Appear at Racing for a Reason Benefit at Cabarrus Arena on October 10th and 11th

This Wednesday and Thursday, October 10th and 11th, 14-year-old Super Late Model driver Zach Stroupe will be sharing the limelight with some of the biggest names in NASCAR at the Racing for a Reason Custom Bike and Auto Show in Concord, North Carolina. Stroupe's No. 51 BDI Racing Chevrolet will be on display, and the young driver will be on hand to meet the fans and sign autographs alongside NASCAR drivers and personalities such as Kyle Busch, Scott Riggs, Kyle Petty, Mike Helton, Greg Biffle, Ray Evernham and Stroupe's own team owner, Bob Dillner, of SPEED Channel.

"I'm excited to have our BDI Racing Chevrolet on display for all the fans in town for this weekend's NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race at Lowe's Motor Speedway," said Stroupe, who will next get back into on-track action on October 27th in the PASS South Super Late Model race at Greenville-Pickens Speedway (SC). "It will be a fun opportunity to meet with the fans and to talk racing with a lot of the Cup guys that will be there too. Plus Bob and I will get to be together, have some fun and raise awareness for a good cause. That's something that I'm really excited about."

Racing for a Reason is a charitable organization, founded by NASCAR team owner Ray Evernham, which helps families in need and aids in the search for a cure for cancer. While fans check out the racecars, custom automobiles and motorcycles on display at the Cabarrus County Arena, just a few minutes down the road from Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, they will also be supporting a good cause.

"NASCAR drivers, teams and fans have been among the biggest supporters of charitable efforts like Ray's Racing for a Reason, so we are proud to be a part of this year's event to help raise awareness and money for further cancer research," said BDI Racing team owner and SPEED television broadcaster Bob Dillner, who will also be a special guest emcee at the event. "Our BDI Racing No. 51 Chevrolet will be on display, and Zach and I will be there meeting the fans and we'll all have a great time, but at the same time we'll be sure to recognize the real reason we're there; to help Racing for a Reason do their best to help the fight against cancer. Cancer is something that has hit my family recently and it affects so many people around the world, so this event is very special to me and the team."

The Racing for a Reason Custom Bike and Auto Show will take place at the Cabarrus County Arena on Wednesday and Thursday, October 10th and 11th. The Cabarrus County Arena is conveniently located off Highway 49 in Concord, NC, just minutes from Lowe's Motor Speedway. Tickets are priced at $5 each for adults if purchased in advance and $10 the days of the event. Kids age 12 and under are admitted free.

Watch for Zach Stroupe and the entire BDI Racing team all season long as they chase down victories and championships on the country's short tracks in 2007.
