His seventh place at the checkered flag put the two-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) champion back on top of the series standings with five races remaining in the 2007 season. He holds a 14-point advantage following today's Mountain Dew 250 at Talladega Superspeedway.

Willie Allen, No. 13 ThorSport Silverado, collected sixth place honors at the finish and continue his battle to capture the Raybestos Rookie of the Year title. 

Chad Chaffin, No. 40 Key Motorsports Silverado, finished eighth, the best NCTS finish ever for the team.

Regan Smith, No. 47 Ginn Resorts Silverado, finished ninth to give Team Chevy Silverado four in the top-10 in the race that saw Todd Bodine win by the margin of just 0.014 seconds. 

The next event for Team Chevy Silverado will be October 20, 2007 at Martinsville Speedway.

Ron Hornaday, No. 33 Camping World Silverado - Qualified 13th, Finished 7th
NOTE: Finish vaulted Hornaday back to the top-spot in the NCTS point standings, 14 points ahead with five races remaining in the 2007 season. --  "It is so hard to have teammates and Cale Gale in the other Camping World Silverado helped me out today. I can't thank him enough.  The guys on the outside lane were making me upset more than anything.  Obviously the outside lane wasn't working and they just kept wanting to duck down. If they wanted the inside lane, hey should have just started there. They kept crowding you down and you kept hitting your valance and going up and running in to the side of them. Our truck is more tore up on the sides than it is anywhere else cause the guys kept wanting to run you down.

"It was wild, I didn't know if I was going to run in the back there or in the front.  All the guys are great here on this Camping World Chevrolet. It is awesome to drive something like this. 

"Unbelievable. I just have to thank Kevin and DeLana (Harvick) for the opportunity. We have Tanner (an eight year-old girl from Santa Clarita, CA who was a life-long fan of Hornaday). She passed away last week and is riding with us. Everything is cool, we are just having fun.  With five races remaining, it's going to come down to being consistent."

"Man, I can't say enough about how hard these guys have worked and Duke and Ronda Thorson giving us what we needed.  We've had so many mechanical problems.  I feel like I talk to you every week about that but they got that fixed this week.  Our engines were so stout.  Man, what a race.  It was so much fun.  We stayed out there and lasted the whole race and learned.  The guys have been working so hard to try to win the Raybestos Rookie of the year deal and move up in points and overcome and try to get ready for next year.  I just can't say enough.  I want to thank Nashville Music City, Pork and Chevy."

How important is it to a small team like this to have a good finish?  "It's big.  We've got a full group of guys that want to work really hard.  We're in Ohio and we've got a full crew working hard.  They've got as much heart as any team out here.  I've raced this track a lot online but nothing compares to me.  I've raced a lot of late model races and that's what I was telling my crew guys is I felt at a disadvantage because I hadn't run many restrictor plate races.  You can't really use your late model skills or any short track skills that you've learned apply to this but I've raced a lot online and I've got real good crew chief and two good spotters up on the stands that really helped big time.  I couldn't have done it without them, for sure."  

Chad Chaffin, No. 40 Curtis Key Plumbing Silverado - Qualified 33rd, Finished 8th
"I am real excited to get the best finish ever in the NCTS for this Key Motorsports team. After blowing an engine in practice, we kept fighting and missing everything all day long. The guys did a good job on pit road. Just a great day for our team.  We dodged every bullet today from a flat tire to a dented fender. Gives us some good momentum for the last five races of the season."

Regan Smith, No. 47 Ginn Resorts Silverado - Qualified 28th, Finished 9th
"We up to fifth and go to the back. Chevys are at just too much of a disadvantage right now. We need another intake or the need to take theirs away.  It is a fun place when you can come here and you can pass. But we had to have somebody in front of us. I think every Chevy I saw couldn't lead the pack and we couldn't push each other.  It is not fun when you can't help your fellow Silverado drivers out there. You can't do anything yourself and you have to follow other guys.

"All in all, even though it was a backup truck, it is in one piece and I so happy with everything that Eric (Phillips, crew chief) and everyone at Morgan Dollar did.  They keep surprising me. Just when I think I have got them in a situation when they aren't going to be able to come up with a perfect truck, they pull one out of the top of the truck and it is perfect so we can still go race with it and have fun. These guys bust their butts. I like working with them and I am looking forward to the rest of the year."

Kyle Busch, No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Silverado - Qualified 29th, Finished 14th

Clay Rogers, No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado - Qualified 34th, Finished 15th

Brendan Gaughan, No. 77 South Point Hotel Silverado - Qualified 31st, Finished 16th
"There is a reason Kyle Busch got dumped by Hendrick Motorsports; he is an EXPLETIVE. He passed me below the line; cost me a chance at a top-10. I am a full-time Chevrolet driver and he is a going-somewhere-else driver. Really pissed me off there at the end. We had a chance for a top-10 finish and maybe a top-five and Kyle Busch cost us that.

"We have a hole in the grill from missing stuff all day. Unbelievable job by my spotters. We just happened to get lucky at Talladega. I made it through all the wrecks. Mark Smith motors will run up to 280 degrees, I didn't want to tell him on the radio but it made it to the end."

Matt Crafton, No. 88 Menards/PEAK Silverado - Qualified 21st, Finished 18th
NOTE: Received left front damage in contact on lap 89 while running fourth - "We had a great run today. Our Silverado was really good all day. Ran out of gas just before a caution and got pushed to pit road by Kyle (Busch). Fought our way back to well in to the top-10. Don't know for sure what happened there late in the race when our truck got damaged. Somebody got be from behind, got me in the right rear and all of a sudden she got real loose and I was wide open but lost my momentum. We started banging off each other and got it torrid.  So had a pretty good considering I was in a Chevy and what a disadvantage we all had here."

Shane Sieg, No. 15 Red Top Auto Auction Silverado - Qualified 25th, Finished 20th

Tim Sauter, No. 07 Lester Buildings/ASI Limited Silverado - Qualified 26th, Finished 21st

Cale Gale, No. 2 Camping World Silverado - Qualified 19th, Finished 22nd
NOTE:  Lap 66 right side window flew out causing degree for debris. Repairs by pit crew put Gale three laps down in the running order - "Charlie (Johnson, crew chief) had a real good truck for us today.  It drafted good. I tried to help Hornaday as much as I could.  When the window came out, it pretty much ruined our day, but we still got to help Hornaday there at the end. It had a ball out there all day."

Chad McCumbee, No. 8 TheGPSStore.com/GARMIN Silverado - Qualified 15th, Finished 24th
NOTE:  Front brake locked causing vibration in truck, crew repaired on pit road, dropped McCumbee nine laps down to the leader.

Bryan Silas, No. 71 PBG/Rockingham Speedway Silverado - Qualified 32nd, Finished 32nd:
NOTE: Retired from race after being involved in multi-truck incident on lap 54 - "I was there in the middle and the truck on the inside just came up the track and I had no where to go and ended up being one of the people involved. We had a great truck. I was just staying in the back of the pack, trying to stay out of trouble and trying to learn as much as I could.  I just want to thank everyone who helped give me the opportunity to come to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series.  It was a great day for racing."
