WIX Lap Leader: Mountain Dew 250 at Talladega Superspeedway Qualifying

Todd Bodine led twice for 46 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in today's Mountain Dew 250, the first time this season he has captured the honor. Bodine is the eighth different driver to win the WIX Filters Lap Leader Award this season.

Bodine has led 15 times in eight races for a total of 181 laps.

Bodine won today's race at Talladega, crossing the finish line .014 seconds ahead of Rick Crawford. He grabbed his second victory of the 2007. In 20 races this season, he has racked up 10 top-five and 15 top-10 finishes.

Unofficially Bodine is fourth in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship standings, 28 points behind third-place Travis Kvapil and 114 ahead of fifth-place Johnny Benson. Bodine trails point leader Ron Hornaday Jr. by 262.

Bodine Quotes: "First, we had a great truck. That truck has always been fast but it just could never lead a draft and the guys went to work after Daytona and found some things and got it to lead the draft. It just made it that much better. I was just the lucky guy driving it. I've always said that about this crew. These guys work hard every week and just very fortunate to be a part of this team. We had a great truck. It was fast and we were fortunate to be in front of all the wrecks. I got lucky on a couple of moves and things went our way there. There at the end, I knew Rick was going to try somewhere, obviously, and he waited to the front and came up just a little short. He had a great run. He had a good truck. I'm very proud and glad to come out on top for a change. I've always run well at the speedways. Daytona and Talladega have always been one of my strong tracks. I just never quite got it done and we finally got it done so that's probably the best part of this whole thing."

Mike Skinner holds a two-race lead (8-6) over Hornaday Jr. in the overall WIX Filters Lap Leader standings.
