Can you talk about your qualifying effort? "I thought it was a pretty good lap. Our truck has been handling pretty well throughout the weekend, and we ran about what we expected. There's going to be a lot of good trucks that we'll have to beat in tomorrow's race, but I think we have a pretty good shot. We'll just have to keep our nose clean and stay up front and out of trouble."

Will the impound force the team to make changes on the truck early in the race? "Not at all. We've been in race trim since we unloaded, so we're stuck with what we have. As far as these plate races go, qualifying position isn't that important. You just want to be able to start near the front to avoid any big wrecks that happen early in the race."

How is your truck going to be in tomorrow's race? "I think we have a pretty decent truck for tomorrow. Our truck is pretty neutral in the draft, and that's a good thing. At a place like Talladega, experience plays a big part. You can go from the back to the front in just a few laps if you know which line to get in and get the right set of circumstances."

Jack Sprague, No. 60 Con-way Freight Toyota Tundra, Wyler Racing Starting Position: 2nd
How much different is restrictor-plate racing than any other tracks you race? Restrictor-plate racing is just a totally different deal. I really haven't enjoyed racing on these superspeedways until the last couple of years. The more power your truck has, the more enjoyable it is. If you know you have a little more juice in the truck, you won't be fighting just to stay alive in the draft. At a place like Talladega, you don't lift. Even the bigger tracks like California, you still lift after the first few laps. Here, if one guy makes a mistake, he can take out 15 or 20 trucks."

What is going to be the key to tomorrow's race? "The most important thing tomorrow is the spotter. He is the most important crew member in the race. He's the one that's going to keep you out of trouble. You can't see anything out of these trucks. Everything is in the hands of the spotter, and hopefully, we'll be able to stay out of trouble."

Mike Wallace, No. 03 Southeast Toyota Dealers Tundra, Germain Racing Starting Position: 4th
How is your Tundra this weekend? "This Toyota Tundra handles real well. It responds good in the draft and has a pretty good balance to it. We had a pretty good qualifying lap out there, and fortunately, we'll be near the front at the beginning of the race. I've only been with these guys for a couple of days, but I can tell they know how to put a good truck together. I've worked with (crew chief) Jason (Overstreet) in the past, and we've won a few races together, which gives me a comfort level for sure. I just have to thank Germain Racing for giving me this opportunity. I'm having a blast."

What makes you so good on these restrictor-plate races? "I'm not sure what it is. I like racing in the draft and as a veteran guy, I've learned what to expect out of these races. I know what it takes to complete a pass, and know the importance of picking the right draft partners. I've been fortunate enough to win a handful of restrictor-plate races, and hopefully I'll be able to add another win tomorrow."

Mike Skinner, No. 5 Toyota Tundra, Bill Davis Racing Starting Position: 8th
How will your Tundra be in the draft in Saturday's race? "I think it's going to be pretty good in the draft. I think our truck's OK. I'm not real thrilled with our choice of setups here. We've seemed to be doing that a lot of lately. We just need to get back to basics and get back on track."

Is there any added pressure as the points leader at Talladega? "We just need to do what we do. We do everything we can every week. That's all we can do."

Jacques Villeneuve, No. 27 Unicef Tundra, Bill Davis Racing Starting Position: 10th
What is the biggest thing you've been working on between the truck and car this weekend? "I've been working on my line quite a bit between the Truck Series and Cup Series. It's important to find that last hundredth of a second, because that could be the difference between racing and going home. The truck and car definitely race a lot different than each other, but that one consistent is the fastest line. I still have so much to learn in this type of racing, but each week, I feel a little bit more comfortable."

What are the biggest differences between the truck and car at Talladega? "The truck moves around a little bit more in the draft than the car does. Racing at Las Vegas a couple weeks ago is obviously a lot different than coming here to Talladega, but I'm still trying to get as much information as I can."
