Tim Sauter was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the September 22 Smith's Las Vegas 250 at Las Vegas (Nev.) Motor Speedway. Sauter scored a 20th-place finish and took top rookie honors for the fourth time this season.

• Sauter leads Willie Allen by four points (138-134) in the Raybestos Rookie standings entering the October 6 Mountain Dew 250 at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway.
• Sauter is 16th in the Craftsman Truck Series championship standings, best of any Raybestos Rookie. He is 21 points ahead of 17th-place Allen.

Robert Richardson was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race in the 2006 Mountain Dew 250, collecting a 16th-place finish.

Erik Darnell was the top qualifying Raybestos Rookie at Talladega, earning the sixth-place starting position in 2006.
