The two-time NCTS champion extended his lead in the 2007 standings to 29 points with seven races remaining on the season schedule. It was Hornaday's fourth win of the year, his 10th top-five and 17th top-10 in the 18 races run to date.

Rain cancelled qualifying for the 36-truck field and the starting field was set by provisions set forth in the rule book.

Shane Sieg, No. 15 Swift Silverado from the Billy Ballew Motorsports stable, in his second start of the season started a 22nd and finished 10th.

Matt Crafton, No. 88 Menards/Sylvania Silverado, took the green flag in 10th and came home to an 11th place finish.

Clay Rogers made his first start in the No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado started 16th and took the checkered flag in 12th.

Round 19 for Team Chevy Silverado is scheduled for September 22, 2007 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Rick Ren, No. 33 Camping World Silverado Crew Chief, Started 1st, Finished 1st
"We figured out a couple weeks ago that we have to qualify well, lead the most laps and just race to win to win this championship because it is going to go down to the wire. The Camping World Silverado was just bad, I mean, she was just fast fast right out of the hauler. That truck has finished third three times and she finally gets to go to victory lane."

"I can't say that I have ever had a truck that was as good as what I had today. I can't thank Camping World, Chevrolet, Rick Ren, Kevin and DeLana Harvick, you name it, we have to thank everybody who has anything to do with this team and this effort. What an awesome crew, Danny and all them guys do an awesome job on this truck and team. We can't forget Wally Rogers, he is the one who started this deal. It is just so awesome for this truck to do what it has done today. Same truck we have finished in the top-three with three time4s and we finally won with it. This is our lucky charm little truck right here. Wow, 33 wins, that is unbelievable, that is cool."

"When the brakes settled in and they pulled off the tape off the right front, I was good. It was unbelievable. There are a lot of guys out there that would give anything to drive a truck like this. I put it in positions it shouldn't have been in and it came out of every one of them. I could just put the power down in this Chevrolet and go. I have to thank Richard Childress Racing engines for awesome horsepower. It is a pleasure to drive this stuff."

"Kevin and DeLana have built an organization where no one ever says die, that is what makes us run hard. We went to the front and would have broke today and finished last, it doesn't matter because we had the truck to beat today. That is what your work for and build on. They keep putting awesome trucks underneath me week in and week out. It is just unbelievable to be able to race this hard and finish like this."

How great was this win for you guys today? "I gotta thank everybody, I mean what an awesome truck we had today. We had a second truck here today and I really have to thank Wally Rogers because he is the one that started this deal working with KHI and with Kevin (Harvick) and DeLana (Harvick). Its just awesome to get this thing to do what it did today because this is the same truck we finished second with three times and now we finally won with it. Its kind of been our lucky truck and we did it again. Man, thirty-three wins. That is really unbelievable and that is cool."

"It looked like you guys didn't make any changes to the truck during the race and you guys were really on your game today. "No, the brakes weren't coming in so we pulled a little tape off the right front and then we were good. The truck was really unbelievable and it was one of those things where a lot of guys would love to drive a truck like this. I gotta thank Richard Childress Racing and everyone that gave us an opportunity to use their equipment and help us to get to the top."
 
"I know you aren't supposed to be counting points right now but you came in with a four point lead, led the first lap, the most laps and the final lap. It's a long year but right now you have to be really happy. "Kevin and DeLana built a team that never says die, they just run hard. We had a the truck to beat today and these guys put a great truck under me week in and week out and its just unbelievable to be able to race this hard and have a truck this good."

"Boy it's really fun to get into equipment like this Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet. It makes my job as a driver so much easier. We were really good and I thought we could have had a top-five finish but I got together a little with the No. 36 truck and it hurt the splitter so we were really tight at the end. I had a great time today and have to thank Billy Ballew, Doug George (crew chief) and the rest of the team for a great truck today and Swift Transportation for their support."

Matt Crafton, No. 88 Menard's Silverado, Started 10th, Finished 11th
"Not a bad day or finish for us considering we had a 30th place truck yesterday. Not a bad day at all. We just keep knocking off these finishes and my guys keeping working on making that truck better."

Clay Rogers, No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado, Started 16th, Finished 12th
"I was hoping for a better finish than that today, so a little disappointed. We were a little bit tight from the get-go; we made it a lot better. The last 50 laps of the race we lost power steering so it was all I could do to hang on to it. I got to the point I couldn't hardly turn the steering wheel and Loudon is such a tough race track that you have to be on the edge of being loose to be fast. Every time we would get loose, I could turn back to right and catch it but couldn't turn it back to the left. We definitely made improvements to the truck as we ran and I hung in there as hard as I could. I was hoping for a better finish for this team coming in but it is a pretty good start and we will get them next week. First time with this team, we all worked well together, the communication was good we have something to build from."

Brendan Gaughan, No. 77 South Point Hotel Silverado, Started 14th, Finished 25th
"It's the worst we have been in a long time. But that happens in big time auto racing. There's nobody to blame but ourselves for this when. We're going to go back to the shop and analyze, and a run like this just makes us that much more mad and hungry for a great run at our home track. And the good thing is that now, people won't say that married life is the reason I'm running good."

Aric Almirola, No. 47 Ginn Resorts Silverado, Started 24th, Finished 32nd
NOTE: Almirola was involved in a multi-truck melee on lap 57. The crew worked to make repairs and returned Almirola to action on lap 106. "Just very disappointed for this whole Morgan-Dollar Motorsports team, we had a good truck in practice yesterday and thought we could make enough changes to get a good finish today."

Kyle Busch, No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Silverado, Started 31st, Finished 33rd
NOTE: Busch was involved in a single truck incident on lap 141 damaging the truck beyond repair. "Well, racing in the truck series, you would think a guy would know that racing one inch off each other, trying to sideswipe another truck getting in the corner, it is prone to spin out. That is what I did, spun out. It was a tough break for us in the No. 51 Flanders Chevrolet. Had some fun out there for a while. Got run in the fence once and broke the splitter off, and we still ran up there in the top-five, so it just wasn't really meant to be today. But, we will come back and get them another I guess week."

Clint Bowyer, No. 2 Camping World Silverado, Started 32nd, Finished 35th
NOTE: Bowyer was involved in a multi-truck accident on lap 57. Truck was damaged too extensively to repair and return to action: "We were working our was up through the field but as that first long run went on we got pretty loose. Wally (Rogers, crew chief) and the crew made some adjustments under that first caution and we were a little better but we had another quick caution and then we were the caution. The 40 truck spun and blocked the track and there were trucks spinning and bouncing off each other. I just didn't have anywhere to go. I feel bad for everyone at Kevin Harvick, Inc., Camping World, Wally and the whole crew because I think we could have made it better as the day went on and got up pretty close to the front."

Ron Hornaday, Jr. and Rick Ren
No. 33 Camping World Silverado

Ron (Hornaday) a very dominating performance out there today. How did it feel to be in such a good position? "I was just telling my boss DeLana that if you get a truck that good sometimes you just don't know what is going to happen. I tell you; Rick Ren and these guys just built an unbelievable truck.

"I also have to thank Kevin and DeLana Harvick first of all, but also Camping World, Chevrolet and everyone that supports us including the guys back at the shop. You hear a lot of people say that but these guys are working over the weekend to get ready and we are going to turn this truck around and take it to Las Vegas with us. It takes all the guys back at the shop to get these things done and they work their guts out. They built a brand new truck for this race and it got done but we found a problem with it and elected not to bring it and brought this one that's finished second three times and now we've won with it.

"Rick has a lot of faith in the stuff he builds and the stuff he's bringing over here and Kevin and DeLana don't complain about anything. He's doing such an awesome job with the guys and our crew just had some awesome pit stops. It's so cool to have a great truck like this and do what we did. If we didn't do that, then (Mike) Skinner is going to do that. We are just going to try to dominate, lead every lap, and win every race we can."

Rick (Ren) talk about how you viewed the race today. Obviously you had things dialed in pretty good. "Yeah, we have been working really hard on our qualifying package. Unfortunately it got rained out today, and we felt like we were going to qualify really good. That's what we are trying to do. Qualify good, lead laps, and win races because Skinner is one tough cookie. We came here today and we worked really hard on this truck. Our guys got this truck ready a day early and we spent the extra time on the surface plate with it and she fell out of the truck really good.

"We always thank the Camping World people and KHI, but some of the people that help us are the guys at Richard Childress Racing where we get our engines and they don't get many compliments so I want to say a special thanks to them. Also, we get our transmissions from G-Force and they build our rear end gears. You know those are people that help make this package so good and they are behind the scenes so I wanted to say thanks to those folks as well.

Ron, it's been over ten years since you won your last race here and you are the first driver to win twice here. Were you kind of surprised by that? "No. The last time I won here it was sheer luck. We had a seventeenth place truck and we had a lot of yellow flags. That is probably why they changed the green/white/checkered finishes. We were a seventeenth place truck and Skinner blew up and I was shifting the truck in the corner because I was so tight. They had a couple green/white/checkered finishes and I ended up winning that one. This is actually a win that is going to stick with me for a long time because this was a championship-caliber race right here. If we can do that every week then that is what we need to do. We set our goals high and if we don't hit them then that if fine but we're going to run every lap as hard as we can and that is what Kevin and DeLana want us to do is to run that truck until t here is nothing left of it. We are going to do that every week."

Ron, you guys have been putting a lot of emphasis on poles here lately. Are you disappointed that you didn't get to show off how good the truck was on your qualifying run and see if you could get the pole? "You know, we did two qualifying runs yesterday. One on scuffs and one on stickers and Rick Ren asked me if we had a truck that could win the pole and I said yes. You aren't going to show everything when you go out there in practice and in qualifying runs. Those things don't pay anything. Rick Ren came to me about four weeks ago and asked me what it was going to take to get this truck qualifying better. I told him that when he gets a better back up truck that can win races that is when I am going to start doing that and taking more risks. If it's too free or the sun is out, I am not afraid to wreck the thing now because he has done that and we have a great back up. There is another great truck sit ting up there in the hauler now and thanks to Kevin and DeLana and everybody for putting this deal together. We are going to have more brand new trucks the rest of the year as well."

Ron, starting next week you are going to be racing against Jacques Villeneuve and I wanted to know what you think about that? "You know, everybody complains about everyone coming over here from Nextel Cup and Busch. But if we go out there and find out that we are the best that's good, but sometimes we need someone to put us in our place because if I don't learn something every week of racing then its time for me to quit. If he can come in here and show us something then it will be cool."
