| ROOKIE NOTES: New Hampshire 200 at New Hampshire Int'l Speedway
09-15-2007 | TruckSeries.com Report
Tim Sauter in the No. 07 Lester Buildings Chevrolet was the Raybestos Rookie of the Race at New Hampshire. Notes: Tim Sauter: "It's disappointing. We had a lead lap truck, we had a top-10 truck, and we just keep shooting ourselves in the foot. It's really stupid mistakes, I guess, so I'm a little frustrated by that. But it's in one piece and we've got a good truck to take to the next flat track so it's alright." Did the green track conditions throw you a curve? "You know, it's hard to tell because we actually got a flat tire right away on the left rear so I was real free. I thought we missed it big-time but then they told me we only had eight pounds in the left rear so then I thought we'd be alright. We were decent, just a little too free." Where will this truck race again? "Probably not until Martinsville or Phoenix." Comment on the upcoming race at Las Vegas. "We should be alright. I've got a pretty good truck that I ran a lot. I ran eight races with it: Texas, Charlotte and had some good finishes with it. Hopefully we can get it back dialed in and keep on building from that. I want to do better but that is the main thing right now is just getting a good finish and keeping it in one piece with everything we're doing." Willie Allen, No. 13 Pork Chevrolet: You were leading the race and then fell back. What happened? "We came in the pits and they put the left-side tires on the right-side and the right-side on the left. It just killed the truck. That's all I can say. We gave a good finish away right there. We'll go to Vegas and recover." Jason White, No. 7 Hooters Energy Drink Chevrolet: "We lost a lap in the pits, got a lug nut jammed. We actually ran the right-side tires, all the tires, for 150 or 160 laps. We were on the same tires the whole time so it was tough. We'll regroup and go to Vegas. I'm looking forward to it. Yeah, it's tough on the little teams but you know, we'd have been okay here but the lug nut got stuck and we couldn't change tires. But we kept it in one piece and we'll go to the next race."
