Tim Sauter, No 07 Lester Buildings/ASI Chevrolet, finished 18th and took Raybestos Rookie of the Race honors for the second time this season.
Tim Sauter, No 07 Lester Buildings/ASI Chevrolet: "We had a good truck the first half of the race, and we were really good. We changed tires, and the second set of tires just didn't feel as good. But we thought we could hold our own. That second to last caution really hurt us, so we lost a lot of spots there. But all in all, it's in one piece and we've still got a good truck to carry on."
Did you feel your truck was better on a long run? "Absolutely. I think lap 30 to lap 50 we were the fastest truck on the track. We come from 24th to 8th, which was pretty good. We'll just keep building on it."
Peter Shepherd, No. 50 Northern Tool + Equipment Ford: "We were kind of up and down. We could never get the thing to turn the way we needed it to turn. This Northern Tool Ford F-150 was just tight all night under free roll and under throttle. We couldn't get the handle on it at all. We put some tires on it later on in the run and it seemed to help for a little bit. But once they went away it was bad again. We were in position to get the lucky dog toward the end of the race, but the 16 truck drove right in the back of us and spun us out and we backed in there. We got out all we could get of it the last few laps. I guess that's something to be proud of, if anything."
Willie Allen, No. 13 Thorsport Racing Chevrolet: "It was good for the first half. We led some laps tonight, and had a really, really fast truck. We kind of got booted out at the front. We come in the pits, took tires, and we were coming back up through the field taking our time, and then the 8 truck got into us and put us up in the wall a little bit. It kind of went downhill from there. We started coming back up again and got involved with another lap car. I'm sort of disgusted. We actually had a great truck during the race."
You stayed out on a caution and ended up with the lead; were you pleased to be able lead 23 laps: "We had a really good truck. We passed a bunch of trucks from where we started. Yeah, we had track position. But we had a really good truck."
Blake Bjorklund, No. 8 Haas CNC Machine Tools Chevrolet: "It wasn't too bad. We got down a lap early, but we rallied back. We got quite a bit better and got our lap back. We started making some positions and got caught up in a misfortune there, me and Willie Allen got in the wall a little bit there. That was the end of it. We went down a couple of laps trying to fix it, and just finished up the night."
Jason White, No. 7 Hooters Energy Drink Dodge: On an Incident with Matt Crafton: "He hit me a little bit down in three and four, and I saved it. Then I said, 'Alright, we're all good." Then down in one and two he just flat took me out. We had a great run going and this Hooters Energy Drink Dodge was awesome. It's a shame for the team to be running really good and get wrecked like that."
The team tried to get you back out: "It bent the clip and a couple of things, truck arms and stuff like that. Once we figured that out, there was no way to get it back out in the amount of time that we had."
