A Trailer Race of Destruction will bring motorized mayhem to The Dirt Track @ Lowe's Motor Speedway Saturday night, Aug. 18, during the eighth annual Circle K Monster Truck Bash.

Characterized by its chaotic-and often hilarious-nature, the Trailer Race of Destruction features CRASHCars battling on the four-tenths-mile clay oval while towing a variety of campers, boats and utility trailers. The race literally leaves a trail of destruction in its wake.

"It takes days to clean up the mess after the trailer race," said H.A. "Humpy" Wheeler, president and general manager of Lowe's Motor Speedway. "There will be shattered fiberglass and mangled metal all over the track from the boats and campers that will be destroyed during this amazing race."

In addition to the CRASHCar Trailer Race of Destruction, a dozen Monster Trucks, including Avenger, Bigfoot, Brutus, Equalizer, Raminator and Samson, are scheduled to participate in the Aug. 18 Circle K Monster Truck Bash. The trucks will battle in a series of one-on-one elimination matches over an obstacle course and then compete in a radical freestyle competition.

The Circle K Monster Truck Bash begins with the Circle K Pre-Race Pit Party where fans can meet the Monster Truck drivers, get autographs and have their pictures taken alongside the gargantuan machines.

Fans presenting an event ticket along with an empty Full Throttle energy drink container will be admitted to the Pit Party beginning at 4 p.m.
Spectator gates open at 5 p.m. and the Circle K Pre-Race Pit Party runs through 6:30. On-track action starts at 7:30 p.m.

If purchased in advance, reserved seats for the Circle K Monster Truck Bash are $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under.
