BODINE: Germain Racing Enters Gateway Busch Race

When Germain Racing was formed, team owners, Bob, Rick and Steve Germain asked Toyota for a chance to get the motorcompany its first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship. After being granted a Tundra race team, Germain quickly showed the NASCAR community that they had every intention of coming through on the championship promise.

The team came out of the gate with two wins in its partial schedule in 2004, five wins in 2005, and the Truck Series championship, Toyota's first, in 2006. The team makes its Busch Series debut this weekend, with Truck Series champ Todd Bodine behind the wheel of the #03 GERMAIN Toyota Camry, and Bodine sees it as a big opportunity.

"Obviously, we are very proud of what we've accomplished on the Truck Series side for Toyota. Germain Racing has brought them wins each year since its inception in 2004, and we hope to add another first to the Toyota achievements - we got them their first Truck Series championship, and we'd love to make our #03 GERMAIN Toyota Camry the first Camry to win for them," said Bodine.

St. Louis' Gateway International Raceway is a track where Bodine has led laps, and has been to victory lane. He's happy to launch Germain's Busch program at Gateway.
