Jon Wood was too sick to race at Dover, so Travis Kvapil filled in.

Over the last four weeks, Kelly Bires, a part-time development driver in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, filled in for Wood, who has been ill due to medication he has been taking for attention deficit disorder.

Wood has since lost 20 pounds, been told he doesn't have ADD, is no longer ill and is planning to return to the Truck Series next week, while Bires' learning curve has been escalated.

Thursday at Daytona International Speedway, Bires and Wood Brothers/JTG Racing co-owner Tad Geschickter confirmed Bires will drive the remaining 17 Busch races of the season in Wood's No. 47 Ford.
