| Hornaday, Harvick and Camping World Team Up for 2008
06-28-2007 | Tim Packman, TruckSeries.com
Camping World and RVs.com came on board two months ago for the No. 33 Chevy Silverado team. And, in turn, the team has rewarded them with two trips to Victory Lane and a surge in points up to second place. On Wednesday, KHI and Camping World announced they will extend their relationship through the 2008 season. That gives KHI the support needed for the No. 33 team, Camping World and RVs.com a place to advertise their great company and Hornaday a ride for next year. "It is always important to have sponsors that are behind your programs," said Kevin Harvick, co-owner of KHI. "Camping World has supported KHI this season in both the Truck and Busch Series. They share the same passion and dedication for this sport that we do and I can't think of a better partner for Ron Hornaday and the No. 33 Truck Series team. DeLana and I are thrilled they have decided to continue their partnership with KHI in 2008." Hornaday has earned those two wins this year at tracks he hasn't visited Victory Lane before; Lowe's Motor Speedway and Dover International Speedway. That pushed his total to 31 career victories, still the NCTS record for most wins by a driver. The Dover victory was also the second milestone for Hornaday in NCTS competition. It was the series' 300th race when Hornaday took home the Monster trophy. In 1999, Hornaday won the 100th NCTS race at Evergreen (WA) Speedway. "Camping World has been very supportive since signing on with my No. 33 Chevrolet Silverado team this year," Hornaday said. "It's great to know they are so confident in our abilities here at KHI that they are ready to commit to the 2008 season. That says a lot. "Now I can just focus on going out there and winning the NASCAR Truck Series championship this season." Hornaday trails leader Mike Skinner by 108 points as the NCTS heads to Memphis Motorsports Park this weekend. Camping World is the only parts, accessory and service retail brand in the RV industry and celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2006. The company has grown from a single store in Bowling Green, Ky. to more than 75 SuperCenters with more than 500 service bays in 25 states. Camping World plans to reach 100 locations by 2008. Select stores also retail a wide range of RV's through its Camping World RV Sales Brand. FreedomRoads, a division of Camping World, is a dynamic national network of well-established local and regional RV dealerships that have united to benefit customers, employees, suppliers and the RV industry, including nearly 60 locations in 23 states. "Ron (Hornaday) has quickly become a valuable spokesperson and an integral part of the marketing platform for Camping World and its vendor partners," said Marcus Lemonis, President and CEO of Camping World. "We are elated to know that we will not only be seeing Ron through this year's title run, but we will also be in his corner for 2008 as well."
