Last year's Milwaukee Mile race-winner Johnny Benson began the race third on the grid and ended up in victory lane in the No. 23 Toyota Certified Used Vehicles Tundra.

How does it feel to win again at Milwaukee? "It feels great. The engine ran awesome. It was pretty close to last year. I think last year we were a little better, but not by much. I knew Ron (Hornaday, Jr.) had the same set-up we ran last year with Rick (Ren, crew chief) being over there. (Ren was Benson's crew chief last year.) Those guys did a tremendous job coming from where they did. The guys right here at Bill Davis Racing - all the guys did a tremendous job this week. Not often do I do the Polish victory lap, but being here in Milwaukee - where Alan Kulwicki is from - I had to do it. He's somebody I always looked up to for what he's accomplished, and he's done a lot here at this track. So, I had to do that for him."

Were you worried on the late race restart? "I know he's (Hornaday, Jr.) pretty good on those restarts, but I don't think I'm horrible either. I felt okay. I knew as long as he wasn't beside me going into turn one, I was going to be fine. Ron did everything he could, but our Tundra was pretty good. It was a great day."

Have you won races with this Tundra before? "This is the truck we won a couple of races with last year. We won at Phoenix and a couple others. It's one of my favorite trucks."

Did you expect to be that good at the end of the race? "We thought we would be good by the end of the race. I don't care about leading every one, I just care about the last one. Mike (Skinner) was pretty good at the beginning and we were decent. I know when we got up to second we would be okay. I knew Ron was going to be pretty good. I was a little worried about that. We were in good clean air at the end."

Todd Bodine, No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Tundra, Germain Racing - Finished: 3rd
How did the race go for you? "We tightened up a little bit there in the middle of the race. We missed it just a little bit. Mike Hillman, Jr. (crew chief) and Mike Hillman, Sr. (general manager) made some great calls on the box, and my Tundra was the best it was all night at the end of the race -- when it counted. Johnny (Benson) and Ron (Hornaday, Jr.) had good trucks and we couldn't quite get to them at the end, but we'll take a third-place finish."

Is this a good finish as far as the championship goes? "It's tough to be a big picture race when the guy you're chasing in the points is right behind you in the race. The No. 5 team is doing what they need to do right now. That's what we did last year. All we can do is worry about ourselves and continue to come to the track with fast trucks and keep finishing near the front."

Mike Skinner, No. 5 Toyota Tundra, Bill Davis Racing - Finished: 4th
How was your truck at the end of the race and are you happy with the finish? "We're happy and disappointed. We struggled here but brought our truck home in one piece and got a top-five finish. We just got off there a little bit. We did an air pressure adjustment I didn't really want to do. Then we got the last set of tires and did what I wanted to do, and that wasn't right either. I think we just got a tight set of tires there at the end of the race. I thought when we got down to fifth or so, we could drive back up to the front and make a show of it, but Johnny (Benson) is awfully good here."

Ted Musgrave, No. 9 Team ASE Tundra, Germain Racing - Finished: 34th
What happened? "I guess the No. 21 truck (Kelly Bires) -- being a lap down -- didn't give us enough room. The lapped trucks were not giving anybody any room. I think he came in the corner a little too hot, got up into me and hooked my left front -- and sent us home. I could hardly steer the thing. You hit the wall that hard and you try to get it to the pits. I had a hard time just steering. We're done for the night and that's the way it is. It's a shame because we had a decent truck. I just wish the lapped trucks would be a little bit more careful."

Race Notes:

• Todd Bodine started on the outside of row one and finished third in the No. 30 Lumber Liquidators Tundra.
• Mike Skinner started from the pole and finished fifth tonight in his No. 5 Toyota Tundra.
• Other Tundra drivers in the field were Jack Sprague (11th), Terry Cook (13th), Ryan Mathews (14th), Aaron Fike (21st), Josh Wise (29th) and Ted Musgrave (34th).
• Toyota drivers have won six NCTS races this season. Along with Benson's win tonight, Skinner (California, Atlanta and Martinsville), Sprague (Daytona) and Bodine (Texas) have all registered victories this year.
• Toyota drivers have captured the pole position nine times in 11 races this season. Skinner has started first seven times (Atlanta, Martinsville, Kansas, Charlotte, Mansfield, Dover and Milwaukee), while Bodine (Texas) and Sprague (Daytona) have each been the fastest qualifier once.
• Since the beginning of the 2004 NCTS season, Tundra drivers have recorded 31 wins and 41 pole positions.
• Toyota's first-ever NCTS win was at Michigan (July 31, 2004) and came in Toyota's 13th NCTS start.
