Kyle Busch in the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Billy Ballew Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado brought home his second runner-up finish at the Michigan International Speedway in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Saturday, June 16. In his first run at MIS for Billy Ballew Motorsports in 2005, Busch also finished in the second place.

Busch still holds the track record for the pole speed he set at that first run for Ballew in 2005. This time he placed the Flanders Beef Patties Silverado in the third place position on the starting grid with a time of 40.444 seconds at a speed of 178.024 mph. When the green flag waved for the start of the 100 lap 200 mile race, it didn't take long for Busch to pick up the point position and lead four times for a total of 38 laps. The most laps lead of the day.

Busch battled the front runners even with the race track being slick and the truck being free. Busch persevered and held off the battle for the lead until lap 98 when Busch slid out of his line coming to the white flag. This movement from the line allowed Travis Kvapil to pass him on the inside coming off turn four, settling the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Chevrolet Silverado in the second place position.

"I had a lot of fun out there today racing with Travis (Kvapil) at the end," Busch Said. "It was pretty disappointing losing the lead with two laps to go. I was all over the place; the middle, the bottom, and the top. I just could never find a place that would let me get a good run off the corner. I was just too loose. I could never put the throttle down on the exit of the corner. It was a solid effort by these Billy Ballew Motorsports guys. I appreciate their support and helping me out so I can run the truck series."

"Our truck was good enough, solid enough to win the race, but just not quite good enough to get where I needed to be off the corner. These guys on this team work so hard on these trucks and do such a great job, I wanted to win the race for them."

Although Busch was loose, according to the NASCAR Loop Statistics, the No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Silverado was the fastest truck of the race in turn two and was the fastest on the restarts.

The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series heads next to the "Milwaukee Mile" for the running of the Toyota Tundra Milwaukee 200 Friday, June 22nd. Kelly Sutton will again take over the reigns and will pilot the No. 51 Team COPAXONE (glatiramer acetate injection) Chevrolet Silverado for Billy Ballew Motorsports.
