For Travis Kvapil and crew chief Mike Beam, the frustration has ended.
For Roush Fenway owner Jack Roush, the success continues.
Kvapil, whose most recent victory in September 2004 at New Hampshire International Speedway, preceded two seasons of NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series competition with lukewarm results.
Beam, however, had a banner year in 2006 as then-driver Mark Martin won six times.
Since Kvapil's heartbreaking, final lap loss at Daytona in February, it's been hit and miss.
"We started the year off kind of struggling and Mike Beam and the guys here really just figured out what we needed to do to make the trucks where I could drive them fast," said the 2003 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion, who moved from sixth to fourth in the point standings.
Beam concurred. "We got this '07 nose and some of the things we did over the winter we thought was going to be better but once we ran a couple of races we decided we needed to redo our program a little bit," he said. "So everyone's worked hard and Travis has done a great job on his feedback and given us a direction to go in."
Roush notched up victory No. 45 - a continuing series owner record - as Kvapil became the 10th different driver to win for Roush Fenway. Teammate Erik Darnell collected the win in April at Kansas Speedway.
"I'm proud of everyone who has driven these trucks over the last more than a decade," said Roush. "Travis had a great truck
and he was able to close the deal. Until he won a race in our truck there was a question in my mind of whether or not he was a deal closer but he sure made that clear today.
"He won that race at least two or three times."
