Wayne Spears, Owner, No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado
On Starting 300th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Race:
"We've been fortunate to win NASCAR championships and to have been associated with such drivers as Roman Calczynski, Bill Sedgwick, Ron Hornaday Jr. and of course Kevin Harvick. When the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series was founded in 1995 thanks to the foresight of four Southern California off-roaders and the support of Bill France Jr., we saw the series as the next, logical progression for a west coast-based team. As the series has grown, so too has Spears Motorsports. We have won races, competed for championships and along the way have developed a lasting relationship with Chevrolet. Being able to compete against some of the greatest owners in NASCAR - such as Jack Roush, Rick Hendrick, Richard Childress and Dale Earnhardt Sr. - is something us west coast racers could only have dreamed about before this series was created. We remain a family-oriented team an! d I wouldn't have it any other way. This sport is all about people and needless to say we've been able to align ourselves with outstanding individuals and forge friendships that - 15 years ago - we'd never have thought possible.

Kyle Busch, No. 51 Flanders Beef Patties Silverado, Qualified 3rd
"I wasn't sure where we would qualify so this is good, because I know we have a good truck. I am just looking forward to the race this afternoon and see if we can't get this Billy Ballew Motorsports Silverado in victory lane."

Bill Lester, No. 15 Christian Debt Consolidation Silverado, Qualified 5th
"We are really happy with the Christian Debt Consolidation Silverado. In practice we were a little concerned what we had but we worked through it. I am really happy. The guys all worked hard with springs, changing bars and doing everything we needed to before our qualifying lap. I really couldn't ask for a harder effort or much more, I am very pleased.

"We are hoping we hit the happy medium between qualifying and race setup. You never know quite what you have when you up-tape and you make your final adjustments. I am very confident going in. We have two sets of stickers (tires) in the pits waiting if we need those. I am just hoping we have what it takes. These guys on the Billy Ballew Motorsports team are hungry just like I am for a good result; hopefully this will be the day.

"Michigan is terrific. There are so many grooves, so if you are not running well in one groove you can move around to another one and hopefully crutch what your issue is until you can get on pit road to make adjustments. I like this place and for Chevrolet, if we could do something big for them here, that would be large."

Chad McCumbee, No.08 TheGPS Store.com/Garmin Silverdo, Qualfied 8th
"That was an excellent effort. This GPS Store Garmin.com Chevrolet team is just getting better and better every race. I hate I had to miss Texas last week because we are just improving week in and week out.  Hopefully we can just get the finishes we need. We have had some really strong runs the last few races I have been in the truck, but for one reason or another have had a lot of bad luck that have kept us from a top five or top-10, so hopefully we can change that this weekend.

"Michigan is kind of a tough place to race because their are so many different lines and everybody can spread out and run everywhere. With truck, it is such a big draft, kind of like Daytona; you can't really get away from anybody.  All day long yesterday, we worked on our truck in traffic because you are traffic so long here.  It is a very racy race track, I think that makes for a lot of excitement."

Jason White, No. 7 Hooters Energy Drink Silverado, Qualified 31st
"Man this feels good. The whole Pennington Motorsports team did a great job this morning. We worked hard on the setup after final practice and it showed. I'm really proud of Barry (Dodson, crew chief) and the entire team for all their hard work. We bounced back from practice and I really think we have a truck that will run well this afternoon."

Kevin Harvick, No. 2 Camping World Silverado, Qualified 32nd
Note:
On the out-lap of his qualifying effort, Harvick experienced a miss in the engine. He was not able to get up to full speed so following his attempt at qualifying, the engine was changed. Harvick will start from the rear of the field.
