Ron Hornaday, No. 33 Camping World Silverado, Qualified 9th
You are the defending winner, how does your truck stack up to last year? "We are pretty good. Good enough that I was going for the pole on first lap when we spun. I think we might have had it, but just got loose there and looped it. But to comoe back and qualify ninth isn't too bad really. We will be good for the race."
Dennis Setzer, No. 75 Spears Manufacturing Silverado, Qualified 18th
You had a fairly early draw, how did that affect the truck? "Yeah, that's the second time that has happened to me here. We weren't as early of a draw as the last time we got messed up after a rain shower here. The track just doesn't have as much grip and we needed about four or five more trucks ahead of us. But our Spears Silverado is pretty good. I got into the wall earlier today and scratched it up a bit, but we'll be good for the race. We qualified 18th and the track was still pretty slick. So I feel like we'll have a good run tomorrow."
Willie Allen, No. 13 National Pork Board Silverado, Qualified 20th
You had a good draw given that the guys who went early were a lot slower. What happened out there? "We were really free on our qualifying run. Also we had set the truck up to run on the bottom all day and I believe the groove was in the upper part of the corner. That hurt our time a lot in that run.
Brendan Gaughan, No. 77 South Point Hotel Silverado, Qualified 35th
You guys had a great truck all day. What happened there on that lap? "It's just the luck of the draw. We have a great South Point Casino Chevrolet. And a lot of guys in the pits have all come by throughout the day saying that they know how good our Silverado is.
"But it rained, took all the rubber off the track. Then the jet driers went out with all the kerosene making the track slick, and we had the dreaded number one draw. I didn't hold back, but my Chevy just slid everywhere all over the track. It's just the luck of the draw."
"Tomorrow, I'm just going to have to do my best Dennis Setzer impersonation and see if I can make my way from the back this time and not get a call from NASCAR at the end of the race. We have a good enough truck and a good enough team that I know we can do it."
