Notes: NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series teams will be running a slightly different tire setup at Charlotte than those in the NASCAR Nextel Cup and Busch Series. While teams in all three series will run the same right-side tire code (D-4022), Craftsman Truck teams will run a different left-side code (D-4074). The truck series' left-side code offers slightly more grip. This combination of left- and right-side tires was run by Nextel Cup and Busch Series teams at Charlotte last October. As on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at Charlotte. Air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
