Kvapil Looks Forward Upcoming 7 Race Stretch

The Quaker Steak and Lube 200 kicks off seven consecutive weeks of racing for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitors, and Travis Kvapil couldn't be happier about it. He has scored top-five finishes, including two wins at six of the seven tracks along the stretch. In two Craftsman Truck Series starts at Lowe's Motor Speedway, Kvapil has recorded two top-10 finishes.

The No. 6 K&N Filters team will be bringing chassis RK319-43 to Lowe's. This chassis last raced at Kansas two weeks ago, where Kvapil started fourth and finished 13th.

Kvapil had what he considered to be a successful test at Lowe's Motor Speedway last week. "We tried some different things, and we feel like we've got a good truck for the race," said Kvapil. The No. 6 consistently posted speeds near the top of the speed chart.

Travis Kvapil on Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"Lowe's Motor Speedway is a really cool track, and it's relatively new to the series. I've only raced there twice in the truck and since then it's been repaved. You can use the draft there, and it's got high speeds similar to Atlanta. It's a fun track to race at, but you need a lot of horsepower and good handling characteristics to be successful there. We had a good truck at Kansas and we feel like we've got our program on track and that things are going the way we need them to. We're looking to contend for the win this week at Charlotte."

Mike Beam on Lowe's Motor Speedway:
"We had a pretty good test at Lowe's Motor Speedway last week, and we're coming off having a great truck at Kansas two weeks ago. We feel like we've got things going back in the direction they need to be. Racing at Lowe's is tricky because of the hard tire, but we feel like we learned a lot in the test that will help us for Friday night's race."
