ARCA RE/MAX Series Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Bryan Silas sticks around Kansas Speedway to make his NASCAR Camping World Truck Series debut this Saturday. Silas will make his 11th career ARCA start Friday evening at Kansas Speedway.

While Silas's resume includes tracks of Chicagoland Speedway, Talladega Speedway, Daytona International Speedway and Nashville Superspeedway the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250 will be the first ever battle at the mile-and-a-half speedway for the Florida native.

In addition to running the full ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Silas and Fast Track Racing plan to make a selected number of NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts this season. The team's next event is scheduled for Lowes Motor Speedway on May 18.

Gateway Insurance will step up and sponsor Fast Track Racing's entry this weekend. In addition to Gateway Insurance, Fast Track High Performance Driving School will also support the team as an associate sponsor for the team's first foray into the NCTS.

In his first season of ARS competition Silas invades the NCTS coming off a career-best eighth place finish at Salem Speedway in Salem, Indiana last Sunday. With that finish, Silas has propelled himself back into the championship hunt in the ARS currently sitting ninth in the driver point standings heading into this weekend's double header for the rookie.

Silas will be signing autographs at the Legends at Village West, a shopping facility located directly adjacent to Kansas Speedway this Thursday, April 26 from 6:00-8:00pm local time.

Bryan Silas, driver of the No. 71 Gateway Insurance Chevrolet Silverado:
On Joining The NASCAR Camping World Truck Series:
"I am looking forward to being a part of something huge on Saturday. NASCAR is my future. It's where I want to be. It's also a very important race for me. I need to show my fellow competitors that I am a respectful and patient driver so they will work with me in the future. There is little room for error in NASCAR, I plan to have a flawless weekend."

On Coaching From Andy Hillenburg: "It's great to have a guy like Andy Hillenburg on my side. He has done so much for my career this season, I can't believe it. He's a big reason why we are running so good thus far. He is a big cheerleader. I know I can go to Andy if I need anything and that's important to me. No doubt that his past experience in NASCAR will help me as well."

On Kansas Speedway: "I'm looking forward to Kansas this weekend. We tested there in the ARCA car so hopefully that will help us over on the truck side. It's a track that reminds me a lot of Chicagoland Speedway where I made an ARCA start last season.

On His ARCA Season: "We're having a good season. We were plagued with bad luck at Daytona and Nashville, but we've posted two top-10 finishes and we're sitting in the top-10 in the point standings, so we really have no reason to complain. I hope our early season momentum continues to flow to this weekend at Kansas in both divisions."
