Jack Sprague has many accomplishments to his name, including three record-setting NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championships and wins at nearly every track on the current NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule. Sprague holds almost every title in the record books, including a record for the highest money earned. He is second in all-time wins and has won the second most poles in the Series' history. So it's no surprise that Sprague is arguably one of the best drivers in the history of the Series. With records for the most top-five and top-10 finishes, laps led, and most races finished on the lead lap, his accomplishments are undeniable.
Sprague is, without question, a winner and a Champion. The one thing that has eluded Sprague throughout his career is a victory at the 1.5-mile tri-oval of Kansas Speedway. Sprague has won at 14 of 22 tracks on the 2007 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule, but he has not yet won at Kansas. He hopes to change that this Saturday as the Series returns to Kansas Speedway for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250.
Jack Sprague on Racing in Kansas: "I like racing at Kansas, it is a cool place. I had a great run there in 2001 and was leading with about 40 to go and the engine let go, but my teammate, Ricky Hendrick went on to win so that was cool. It's a fast track with a lot of grooves, but the corners fool you a little. It takes a really good handling truck and a truck with a good aero package to race well at Kansas. I am looking forward to this weekend's race."
Jack Sprague will make an appearance on behalf of Toyota at the 1.99-mile 10-turn road course of Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, California before flying to Kansas City, Kansas for the O'Reilly Auto Parts 250. Sprague will take part in The Official "Tundra Prove It! Tour" which is slated to run between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday. The "Tundra Prove It! Tour" is an invitation only event that will introduce Tundra prospects and media personalities in Northern California to the all new Toyota Tundra. Guests will have the chance to make a hot lap around the NASCAR-sanctioned road course with Sprague and fellow NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver, Mike Skinner. The hot laps will be given in a Toyota Camry pace car and a Toyota Tundra pace truck.
Ken Crissman, a machinist and mechanic on the No. 60 Con-way Freight Toyota Tundra, hails from St. John, Kansas. His father was a drag racer, so racing is in his blood. The younger Crissman became a racer in his own right, wheeling street stocks and IMCA Modifieds between 1989 and 2003. Crissman gave up the wheel after landing a job at Morgan-Dollar Motorsports where he was employed until joining Wyler Racing in January of this year.
Jack Sprague has led a lot of laps at Kansas Speedway, but he has yet to lead the most important one - the final lap. In four starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval, Sprague has qualified in the top-10 three times and has led 105 laps, but he has experienced engine failure twice, which has kept him out of Victory Lane. This year, Sprague will bring his No. 60 Con-way Freight Toyota Tundra to Kansas with a strong engine package from Toyota. With Toyota horsepower propelling him around the track, Saturday just might be the day that Sprague collects his first trophy in Kansas.
Wyler Racing announced April 13th that Mac Tools has come onboard as the official product sponsor of Wyler Racing and the No. 60 Con-way Freight Toyota Tundra driven by Jack Sprague. "We are really excited to team up with Mac Tools," said David Wyler, President of Wyler Racing. "Having reliable, high quality hand tools is important in our sport and we are thankful to have Mac Tools as the 'Official Tools of Wyler Racing'." Everyone at Mac Tools is equally excited. "Mac Tools is very excited to partner with Wyler Racing. The No. 60 Con-way Freight Toyota is one of the best trucks in the series," Tony Merritt, Sports Marketing Manager for Mac Tools proclaimed, "and we look forward to helping Wyler Racing and Jack Sprague contend for a championship in 2007."
