Raybestos Rookie Brad Keselowski posted the fastest overall time in the first practice session for the Sharpie Mini 300. The Rochester Hills, Michigan native is scheduled to make his 12th-career Busch Series start in tomorrow's race. His best career Busch Series start is 13th at Memphis (Tenn.) Motorsports Park in 2006.

Two other Raybestos Rookies posted times among the top-10: Juan Pablo Montoya (eighth) and Marcos Ambrose (10th).

Brad Keselowski, No. 23 Oklahoma Centennial Chevrolet:
How are you running so well?
"Everybody works real hard and Bristol is probably one of my stronger racetracks and we brought a good car. All three of those together is what it takes to be fast and then we're working real hard at it and thankfully it's showing something right now."

To run this well must give everyone on the team a huge boost. "They say winning practice doesn't pay anything but those are people that don't look in the crew's eyes and talk to 'em and hang out with 'em because it pays something other than money. It pays something in respect and motivation and you can see that right now for sure."

You have run better this season than the finishes have shown. "That's part of the problem with being an under-funded team is we're having a lot of problems with stuff breaking on us that if you had the money to do this and do it at the level that some of the other teams do you wouldn't have problems with that stuff breaking. But at least we're showing the speed and speed means more to me than anything else. At least we're showing that we can be competitive and that's where we're at today and where we were at last week."

What would be a good weekend for you? "Everybody has the same theory about Bristol. Surviving is a good weekend at Bristol. I'd really like to get that top-10 back that I thought we deserved last week and didn't get. That would probably be a good goal."
