Joey Clanton, No. 09 Zaxby's Ford:
"That's what we need. We need the momentum right here. We need good, solid runs. Not being in it at California and getting back in the truck here we needed it for Zaxby's and we needed it for Wood Brothers JTG Racing. With the mix of drivers coming on right here, this was just awesome. We had problems with communication. I could hear them, they couldn't hear me so we were trying hand signals, just trying to let 'em know what changes to make. It was just a little too free there at the end when I needed to go. I just about lost it with two to go there. I just gathered it up and tried to get another good run at it and just ran out of laps."
You had a good truck here tonight. "I'm ecstatic about the people I've got. This truck was awesome. Being able to come to Atlanta and run it wide open and run it like that, it was fun, even with the communication and frustration there. It was just great. I think I might have pulled something in my helmet when I was messing with the helmet earlier today. To come out of here this way tonight is just awesome. I can't say enough for the whole Wood Brothers team. I can't say enough. These guys are under some stress with drivers changing almost every other week. To be able to come out of here, it just says something about the whole team. This is just a good piece."
Comment on doing well at your home track. "I know we heard a lot of hollering in driver introductions. Hopefully a lot of people saw a good race."
Kelly Bires, No. 21 Bush's Baked Beans Ford:
"We've got Bush Beans on the truck tonight. We had a good run, we were just really loose and we finally got it right on the last pit stop to where I could at least run with those guys up front. We just got in the wrong lane there on that last restart and went back. We were coming back forward and just ran out of time. We needed another 10 laps. We had about a fifth-place truck. The guys did a great job on that last pit stop. We picked up a ton of positions and I'm just real proud of them. We don't have a mark on this truck. This is my first top-10 in the truck series and it's a good starting point here. It should get us some good points. This 21 truck has run good everywhere. I ran good in Daytona with it, Mark ran good with it and it ran good here tonight. We should be better in points than where we are but we're coming around. We're consistently running up in the top-10 and that's where we need to be to win championships. We're getting better."
Aaron Fike, No. 1 RFMS/Red Horse Racing Toyota:
"We ran in the top-five for 75 laps. We kind of fell off there. The last pit stop we lost a lot of track position for some reason. It wasn't the pit stop; it was how everything worked out. I wasn't really good enough to pass anybody. We fell back to 14th and couldn't get back up further than 12th. Not a bad night. We'll take the points and go on."
Willie Allen, No. 13 National Pork Board Chevrolet:
"We keep getting better every week. Every time we come to the track we learn so much. At the start we were really, really loose. The guys just kept making adjustments all night and I can't wait for the next race."
Why are you improving every week? "I think I'm learning, Lance is learning, and we just keep picking up stuff. Right now we just have to figure out how to make it not so loose at the start of the race and I think we'll be top-five. We've just got to learn a few more things."
