The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race from Fontana saw a 96-percent ratings increase (.53 vs. .27) in Men 18-34 according to Nielsen Media Research, as SPEED continues to experience rapid growth with younger audiences. The overall Household Rating remained steady year-to-year (1.10 vs. 1.11).
"We have an experienced, well-informed on-air team covering the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and we continue to elevate our network efforts to support its growing popularity," said Hunter Nickell, SPEED Executive VP & General Manager. "We've established a high-energy, pre-race show, NCTS Set-Up, hosted by Krista Voda, and two of the Truck races will be aired on FOX this year (Martinsville and Mansfield), giving the series unprecedented exposure. The Truck series clearly has its own identity and style, and some of the younger audiences coming to SPEED for lifestyle shows like PINKS and Unique Whips obviously are checking out the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and sticking around. That's a great trend for the series and for the network."
