Notes: Teams in all three NASCAR series will run the same tire codes this weekend, though the Nextel Cup and Busch Series tires will be branded "Goodyear Eagle," while the Craftsman Truck tires will be branded "Goodyear Wrangler" ... this is the first time Goodyear has brought this specific combination of left- and right-side tires to the track ... this left-side code (D-4078) is new to the Goodyear tire lineup and is more heat and wear resistant than the codes brought to California last season ... this right-side code (D-4062) was run at Dover, Kansas and Michigan last season, but not California ... the right-side change was made to keep ahead of team developments and speed increases ... the construction on both of these codes are now in alignment with the enhancements in durability and performance that Goodyear began to incorporate throughout its tire line in 2006 ... as on all NASCAR ovals greater than one mile in length, teams are required to run inner liners in all four tire positions at California ... air pressure in those inner liners should be 12-25 psi greater than that of the outer tire.
