Travis Kvapil led six times for 49 laps to earn WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race honors in the Chevy Silverado 250.  Kvapil took the honor for the first time in 2007.  He was leading entering turn 4 on the final lap of the race but finished third.

Kvapil Quotes:  "Leading the most laps and winning the WIX Filters Lap Leader of the Race was a goal.  We definitely knew that we had a fast enough truck to get it out front.  When we were out front it didn't seem like anybody could really make a significant run on us.  When I was in traffic I was being held up.  That was a goal tonight, leading the most laps tonight and felt like we did a great job with that.  These Daytona finishes are always crazy.  It was fun and I had a blast out there.  That last little bit of the race we gave it up.  If I had to redo it, obviously if I knew what was going to come I would have blocked the 60 [race winner Jack Sprague] harder earlier.  I didn't react fast enough and I didn't anticipate him having that much of a run on me."

Were you a sitting duck?  "Yeah, but all the way until turn 4 I did a great job holding him off.  What I mean by that is, like I said, I was dragging the brake backing up to them splitting the air between the two lines all the way through 3 and 4 moving around.  And then off of 4, I still thought I was okay, really.  I guess it was Johnny who pushed Sprague and I just didn't expect that.  By the time I realized it, it was too late, so I wasn't able to move up on him and hold him off."
