01-30-2007 | TruckSeries.com Report
SPEED Stage, SPEED Theatre Feature New and Improved Attractions for 2007 Motorsports enthusiasts will have even more to do and see at auto racing venues across the United States in 2007 thanks to The JHE Production Group, Inc and SPEED. SPEED has expanded its motorsports marketing and broadcast efforts for its wide variety of mobile displays that tour the country in support of various auto racing series and exhibitions. In 2007 JHE Production Group, Inc will once again partner with SPEED and provide logistical and production support for the SPEED Stage, the SPEED Theater and the SPEED Road Tour Challenge. This partnership starts a second three year agreement between SPEED and JHE and marks the fourth consecutive year that JHE has provided SPEED with the mobile platform that allows the network to broadcast live from dynamic high energy events. "In my 30 years in television I can count on one hand the organizations in which I have 100 percent confidence," said Rick Miner, SPEED SVP Production & Network Operations. "JHE is one of them. No matter the scope of the task, the lead time, or the complexity of the project, they deliver every time. SPEED's phenomenal "on-site" growth would not have been possible without them." The SPEED Stage will travel to all 38 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup events in 2007 and showcases an abundance of new additions and improvements. A brand new modern stage configuration and an extra large 10-by-12 foot cutting edge video screen will greet fans that gather to watch a variety of high profile SPEED broadcasts like Trackside Live, Tradin' Paint, NASCAR Performance and NASCAR Live. The SPEED Stage will also roll out a new 50-foot tall SPEED Tower that will make the SPEED display more visible and easy to find at all NASCAR venues. The exhibit will also include NASCAR's new "Car of Tomorrow" as well as the current model of the existing NASCAR NEXTEL Cup car. The SPEED Theater will visit a wide range of motorsports events and exhibitions in 2007 including NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, AMA Superbike, Moto GP races and a Formula One race as well as the NEXTEL All-Star Challenge, the SEMA Show, NOPI Car Shows and Barrett Jackson Classic Car Events. The SPEED Theater features new video and audio displays with a total of 18 video monitors in an extensively modified theater interior. The SPEED Theater will once again profile the best in SPEED programming. JHE will provide logistical support for The SPEED Road Tour Challenge, a new reality show debuting in 2007. Four participants will be selected by SPEED, and they will travel together by motor coach -- one equipped with cameras and microphones to record every turn and every pit stop along the way -- all hours of the day, seven days a week. Beginning at Daytona, the four will compete in weekly challenges, all recorded for the prime time reality television show on SPEED.
