Red Horse Racing to Field the No. 1 Toyota Tundra with Aaron Fike

Red Horse Racing has announced that they will field the No. 1 Toyota Tundra for Aaron Fike in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Fike, 24, will compete in all 25 events on the Craftsman Truck Series schedule and make a run for the coveted Raybestos Rookie of the Year honors.

"I am really excited about this opportunity with Red Horse Racing and Toyota," said Fike. "Red Horse Racing has shown that it is a championship caliber team the last few years and Toyota is the championship manufacturer - you can't ask for much more than that."

Fike most recently drove in the NASCAR Busch Series before being tabbed by truck owner Tom DeLoach to drive the No. 1 Toyota for Red Horse Racing.

The team will be led by veteran crew chief, Jamie Jones, who led the Red Horse Racing team to a 4th place finish in the Championship Point Standings with driver, David Starr in 2006. "Jamie Jones has proven to be one of the best Crew Chiefs in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series," explained Fike, "and I look forward to working with him this season."

The 2007 season marks the third year of competition for Red Horse Racing, who fielded the No. 11 truck for David Starr last year. Starr finished 4th in the Championship Point Standings after winning the Kroger 250 at Martinsville on April 1, 2006. In its brief history, Red Horse Racing has 43 starts with two wins, two poles, eight top-5's, and 17 top-10 finishes.

"Aaron Fike is a talented young driver," said DeLoach. "We are looking forward to building on last year's success and finishing strong again this year."

This year may very well be a strong year for the Red Horse Racing team. With expansion plans in place, DeLoach and partner Jeff Hammond, who is an analyst for FOX are currently putting together sponsorship for the No. 11 Toyota which would be a team truck to Fike.

The first race for Fike and the No. 1 Toyota will be the Chevy Silverado HD 250 at the famed 2.5-mile tri-oval of Daytona International Speedway on February 16, 2007. Live television coverage of the 100-lap race will be broadcast on SPEED at 8 p.m. ET and radio coverage will be provided by MRN.

Red Horse Racing's ownership consists of General Manager Tom DeLoach, a former Mobil Corp. executive; and Jeff Hammond, a NASCAR Nextel Cup Championship Crew Chief now serving as an analyst for FOX Sports. DeLoach and Hammond also own and operate PIT Instruction and Training LLC, the number one pit crew training center in the world.
