Mayer Named to Kansas Speedway's Sales and Marketing Staff

Bob Mayer has been named corporate account manager for Kansas Speedway, track officials announced.

Mayer joins Kansas Speedway from Richard Petty Driving Experience in Overland Park, Kan., where he was a corporate event sales manager and developed corporate client relationships, planned and implemented special events, and developed and executed new sales strategies. Prior to that, Mayer worked for Yellow Transportation in several different capacities, most recently as manager-RFP Process and Inside Sales Team for Yellow Exact Express.

"I'm excited to have Bob join our team and I'm confident he will help Kansas Speedway continue to set the standard in motorsports marketing," said Pat Warren, director of sales and marketing. "Bob brings a strong background of marketing strategy, new business development, sales strategy and implementation, account management and event management to Kansas Speedway."

Mayer, from Mobile, Ala., holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Louisville and a C.M.E. from the Fogleman College of Business at Memphis State University.

RPM and P.A.S.S. season tickets go on sale Dec. 2. Fans can log onto the speedway's official Web site, www.kansasspeedway.com. In 2007, fans are permitted to bring coolers (6x6x12-inch) with their favorite food and beverage into the grandstands. Parking is always free at Kansas Speedway.
