Motorsports Designs Holding, Inc. of High Point, North Carolina, the leading provider of racing graphics for NASCAR Teams announced today that it has acquired the assets of Corporate Image Motorsports, Inc. of Concord, North Carolina. Motorsports Designs is an affiliate of Vomela Specialty Company of St. Paul, Minnesota.

Corporate Image was started in 1995 by Frank Bolter and supplies racing graphics for the Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series teams. As a result of this acquisition, Motorsports Designs will service its racing team customers from both locations in High Point and in Concord. Frank Bolter will join Motorsports Designs and focus his efforts on servicing and expanding the customer base. He will report to Kip Johnson, the President of Motorsports Designs.

John McKenzie, the founder and CEO of Motorsports Designs said, "this acquisition will give us a new Concord location that is only five minutes away from several of our largest customers, as well as a new partner in Frank Bolter, who is well connected in racing circles. So, the best service in the auto racing graphics industry just got better. We will be able to provide local contact and services to our many customers and prospects in the Charlotte racing market, and the production capabilities at the Concord location will increase ten times from the added support that Motorsports Designs and its affilitated company, Vomela Specialty Company will provide. Customers will reap immediate benefits from this acquisition."

"This combination makes a lot of sense for our customers," said Frank Bolter. "The reputation of Motorsports Designs in the racing industry along with the expertise and resources of both Motorsports Designs and Vomela will allow us to better serve the racing community, its sponsors, and commercial customers."

Motorsports Designs is the nation's leading provider of racing graphics. Graphics for NASCAR, Indy and other race teams account for approximately 70% of sales, with 30% coming from fleet and commercial accounts.

Vomela Specialty Company, with revenue in excess of $75 million, is one of the largest producers of screen-printed and digitally-printed vinyl graphics in the U.S. Founded in 1947, privately-held Vomela produces graphics for the recreational vehicle, fleet, retail, and racing markets from its six manufacturing facilities in St. Paul, Minnesota, Benton Harbor, Michigan, Southern California, and Elkhart, Indiana. Vomela also has several sales and design offices across the U.S.
