East, No. 21 Ford Review: Homestead
TruckSeries.com Report Printer Version

  Discuss

Bobby East started seventh at the Miami 200 in his State Fair Corn Dogs/Edy's Dibs Ford F-150 at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. He finished 16th.

East won $230,603 in 23 starts this year in the Craftsman Truck Series.

Bobby East on Miami: "We came into the race with a different strategy.
Everyone at Wood Brothers/JTG Racing is using different setups so we can get a jump on the 2007 season and we may have hit on some things with our Ford F-150. It's no secret there's a big problem making the cars and trucks turn in the corners, so we used the race as a 200-mile test session."

Bobby East on the season: "This year has been a lot of fun. You think back to our first race at Atlanta last spring and see how far we've come in a few short months. We're proud of what we accomplished this year. We turned a start-up team into a team that's capable of winning races."

Crew Chief John Monsam on Miami: "By going into the race with a pre-determined strategy with our setup, we decided it was best to stick with the plan than go off the board with the kind of adjustments that may have helped the truck. By sticking to the plan, we got a lot of useful information for the future. That makes the race a big success for the overall future of this race team."

Bobby East's 2006 Season Highlights

  • Best Starting Position: Second (Las Vegas)
  • Best Finishing Position: 11th (O'Reilly Raceway Park)
  • Most Money Won: $15,115 (Talladega)
