| East, No. 21 Ford Review: Atlanta
10-30-2006 | TruckSeries.com Report
Bobby East started fifth last Saturday at the EasyCare Vehicle Services Contracts 200 in his State Fair Corn Dogs/Edy's Dibs Ford F-150 at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. He finished 15th. East's next race will be the Silverado 350K at the Texas Motor Speedway on Saturday. Bobby East on Atlanta: "We're going take this thing to Texas next week because we qualified good and I just want to thank everybody on this Ford F-150 team and everybody at Wood Brothers/JTG Racing. We started fifth and finished 15th, but we still feel like we made big gains in our mile-and-a-half program, mainly with the driver and mainly with me because that's been my biggest struggle. I'm actually happy with it because we started off the race and weren't very good, but the guys just kept getting the truck better and better, so I want to thank them for that." Bobby East on the season: "When you think back, it's amazing how far we've come as a team. We're going to each track with one goal - to win. We finished the race at Atlanta with a strong truck, and we'll pick right up where we left off for the race at Texas." Crew Chief John Monsam on Atlanta: "The racetrack continues to lose grip and that makes for better racing. The trucks slide around a lot, especially if you get out of your groove. The nice thing is we could race on the bottom, in the middle or up top. It took us a while to match our setup with Bobby's line. Once we did that, we were fast." Bobby East's 2006 Season Highlights
